This command configures the address-type of a TE link

Configures the address type of a TE link as ipv4
ipv6
Configures the address type of a TE link as ipv6. Currently ipv6 is not supported.
un-known
Configures the address type of a TE link as un-known

Command Objective
This command configures Shared Risk Link Groups (SRLG) value for the TE Link. This value
ranges from 0 to 4294967295. The SRLG of a bundled link is the union of the SRLGs of all the
component links.
A set of links may constitute a shared risk link group (SRLG) if they share a resource whose
failure may affect all links in the set.
The no form of the command removes SRLG value associated with the TE Link.

This command configures the channel type for the TE Link. This information is very crucial for
proper generation of Traffic Engineering LSAs.

Parameter Description
data-channel
Configure channel type as datachannel. A data channel is a pair of interfaces that are
used to transfer user data
data-control-channel
Configure channel type as data and control channel. A control channel is a pair of
mutually reachable interfaces that are used to enable communication between nodes
for routing, signaling and link management.
forwarding-adjacency-channel
Configures channel type as forwarding adjacency channel.

Command Objective
This command enables tracing of TLM module as per the configured debug levels. The trace
statements are generated for the configured trace levels.

The no form of the command disables the tracing of the TLM module as per the configured
debug levels. The trace statements are not generated for the configured trace levels.

Command Objective
This command configures Bandwidth Threshold values which are used in bandwidth
advertisement of TE-Links.
Parameter Description
down
Configures the thresholds for decreased resource availability
up
Configures the thresholds for increased resource availability
<threshold0-percent>-<threshold15-percent>
Configures Increased / Decreased bandwidth usage in percentage. These bandwidth
threshold values are used in bandwidth advertisement of TE-Links. This value ranges
from 0 to 100.

Defaults
The default values for incremental threshold from threshold0 to threshold15 are 15, 30, 45,
60, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 93, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100 respectively.
The default values for decremental threshold from threshold0 to threshold15 are 100, 99, 98,
97, 96, 95, 93, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 60, 45, 30, 15 respectively.

Parameter Description
<te-link-name>
Configures TE Link Interface with the given TE Link name. The maximum characters of
the string is 20.
<iftype>
Configures Component Link Interface. The interface can be:
gigabitethernet
A version of LAN standard architecture that supports data transfer upto 1
Gigabit per second.
<ifnum>
Configures the Component Interface identifier. This is a unique value that represents
the specific interface. This value is a combination of slot number and port number
separated by a slash. For example: 0/1 represents that the slot number is 0 and port
number is 1.

Configures link type as multi-access.

Address specifies the IP address of the neighbor's interface corresponding to the link.

This command configures the metric value of TE link. A metric is a weight assigned to links in
the network to indicate the relative preference of a link during path computation. This value
ranges from 1 to 65535
The traffic engineering metric for the TE link is derived from its component links. All
component links within the TE link must have the same traffic engineering metric.

Parameter Description
extra-traffic
Configures protection type as Extra-Traffic. Link with protection type as Extra Traffic
protects other links.The Label Switch Path (LSP) on a link of this type is lost if any of the
links protection fails
unprotected
Configures protection type as unprotected. Link with the protection type as unprotected
is not protected by any other links. The LSPs on a link of this type is lost if the link fails.
shared
Configures protection type as shared. Link with protection type as shared has one or
more disjoint links of type Extra Traffic links protecting it.
The Extra Traffic links are shared between one or more links of type Shared.
dedicated1For1
Configures protection type as dedicated1For1. Link with protection type as
Dedicated1for1 has one dedicated disjoint link of type Extra Traffic protecting it.
dedicated1Plus1
enhanced
Configures protection type as enhanced. Link with protection type as Enhanced has a
protection scheme that is more reliable than Dedicated1plus1.

Parameter Description
psc1
Configures Switching Capability as Packet-Switch Capable-1 Nodes receiving data over
interfaces type PSC-1 to PSC-4 can switch the received data on a packet-by-packet
basis. The various levels of PSC establish a hierarchy of LSPs tunneled within LSPs.
packet
Configures encoding type as packet. Currently only packet encoding type is supported.

psc2
Configures Switching Capability as Packet-Switch Capable-2.
psc3
Configures Switching Capability as Packet-Switch Capable-3.

layer2-sw-cap
Configures Switching Capability as Layer 2 Switch Capable. Nodes receiving data over
interface type L2SC can switch the received frames based on the layer 2 address.
tdm
Configures Switching Capability as Time-Division-Multiplex(TDM) Capable. Nodes
receiving data over interface type TDM can multiplex or demultiplex channels within an
SDH payload.
lsc
Configures Switching Capability as Lambda-Switch Capable(LSC) Nodes receiving data
over interface type LSC can recognize and switch individual lambdas within the
interface. An interface that allows only one lambda per interface and switches just that
lambda is of type LSC.
fsc
Configures Switching Capability as Fiber-Switch Capable (FSC) Nodes receiving data
over interface type FSC can switch the entire contents to another interface (without
distinguishing lambdas, channels or packets).

Configures encoding type as Ethernet.
ansiEtsiPdh
Configures encoding type as ANSI.

Configures encoding type as SONET ANSI.

This command creates a Traffic Engineering (TE) Link with the user specified name. A TE link
is a logical construct that represents a way to group/map the information about certain
physical resources and their properties
The no form of the command deletes a Traffic Engineering Link
Syntax
te-link <string(20)> [bundle]
no te-link <string(20)>
Parameter Description
<string (20)>
Configures the name of the TE Link as the given string value. TE-Link Name is
mandatory for configuring TE-Link on the router. The maximum characters of the
string is 20.
bundle
Creates a bundled TE-link. A link bundle is a subinterface that binds the traffic of a
group of one or more TE links.
