Resources used to create lesson Flipgrid
Question to make into Flipgrid video.

You were on a boat, fishing, but a sudden storm came up and now you’re shipwrecked. You pull
the boat to shore and realize you’re stranded on an island, and you don’t know how to get back
home. What THREE things would you have with you in the boat for survival and why?

Film Flipgrid next to the adventure and survival section in the library so students know where to
go if they want to check out a book from that genre.
Explain that the adventure and survival genre focuses on a character who goes on a journey/quest
unexpectedly or by chance. It usually includes challenging circumstances, smart thinking, and
brave deeds.
Three things I would have are a mirror (to reflect the sun and create heat and a fire), water (so
you have fresh water and don’t get dehydrated), and a guitar (so you can have music and use the
strings for something later on if necessary).
