The Respiratory System

Human needs the oxygen in the air they
breathe. Oxygen is needed to burn the food
taken in. The energy is released when food is
burned. Energy is used by the cells of the
body to do their work. Carbon dioxide is a
waste product released by the body when
cells use energy.
