C: Good morning, everyone!

Please be sure to put your phones in silent mode or turn it off before we
begin.

INTRODUCTION

Taize offers a contemplative approach to a prayer through beautifully repetitions music, scripture
readings, spoken prayers, and silence. This worship style brings a wonderful alternative worship
experience that differs from traditional liturgy while remaining true to the purpose of worship, which is
to glorify God.

When you allow the Holy Spirit to lead the soul across the bridge of music to come into the
presence of the Lord in prayer, you will experience the beauty of contemplative worship through the style
of Taize. Whether you are a singer or listener, you will discover music that touches your soul. Come to the
quiet and experience the closeness of God.

C: PLEASE ALL STAND

In the south of Burgundy, France lays a small village called Taize. The community is made up of
brothers from all the continents and major denominations who gather together to pray. We are
gathered here today to pray and offer our sufferings, worries and prayers to God Almighty.

Let us put ourselves in the Holy Presence of God. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and
of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I. ENTRHONEMENT OF THE CROSS AND LIGHTING OF CANDLES: (SONG: Bless the Lord)

II. MOMENT OF SILENCE: (SONG: Come Holy Spirit)

Come Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, I need you

Come, sweet Spirit, I pray
Come in your strength and your power
Come in your own gentle way
Come as a rest to the weary
Come as a balm to the sore
Come, Lord, as strength to my weakness
Fill me with joy evermore
Come, Holy Spirit, I need you
Come, sweet Spirit, I pray
Come in your strength and your power
Come in your own gentle way
Come like a spring in the desert
Come to the withered of soul
Lord, let your sweet healing power
Touch me and make me whole
Come, Holy Spirit, I need you
Come, sweet Spirit, I pray
Come in your strength and your power
Come in your own gentle way
Come in your own gentle way

III. OPENING PRAYER AND SONG (SONG: Ang Panginoon ang aking Pastol)

Father, your people have come here to worship. They have come from different situations and
with many different needs. We ask that in this service You will meet with us and deal with those needs.
Keep not only our but also our hearts and minds open; For it is this way that we can receive Your
power and strength.

Jesus, because we love you we have come together. Help us to worship you in a right spirit.; help
us to be right with each other. We do not ask for our problems and worries to be taken away, but just
that they may be put into perspective. As we give You worship and receive strength may this happen.

Spirit of God, without your presence our worship is in vain. May each one of us feel You near, may
we be uplifted, may our worship be true, may we go from this place with Your presence in our hearts.
Amen!

PLEASE BE SEATED!

IV. FIRST READING (1 HBK: 1:2-3; 2:2-4)

A reading from the book of Habakkuk

2 How long, O Lord, will I call for help, And you will not hear? I cry out to You, “Violence!” Yet You do
not save. 3 Why do You make me see iniquity, And cause me to look on wickedness? Yes, destruction
and violence are before me; Strife exists and contention arises.

2 Then the Lord answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who
reads it may run. 3 For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will
not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay. 4” Behold, as for the
proud one, His soul is not right within him; but the righteous will live by his faith.

The word of the Lord.

C: Thanks be to God

V. RESPONSORIAL PSALM (Ps. 95: 1-2, 6-7, 8-9)

Response: Today if you would hear His voice, do not harden your hearts
1 O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord,

Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving,

Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms

Response: Today if you would hear His voice, do not harden your hearts

6 Come, let us worship and bow down,

Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

7 For He is our God,

And we are the people of his pasture and the sheep of His hand.

Response: Today if you would hear His voice, do not harden your hearts

8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah,

As in the day of Messiah in the wilderness,

9 “When your fathers tested Me,

They tried Me, though they had seen My work.

Response: Today if you would hear His voice, do not harden your hearts

VI. GOSPEL ACCLAMATION (SONG: Thy Word)

VII. GOSPEL READING (Lk 17: 5-10)

Our reading from the book according to Luke

C: Glory to you, O Lord

5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith”’ 6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a
mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would
obey you. 7 “Which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in
from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down to eat’? 8 But will he not say to him, prepare something
for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat
and drink’? 9 He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he?
10 So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we
have done only that which we ought to have done.’”

The Gospel of the Lord

C: Praise to you Lord Jesus Christ

VIII. REFLECTION/ SHARING

C: At this moment, we will have our small group sharing in connection with our gospel. We ask everyone

Let us hold our hands together and sing the prayer that Jesus taught us
XI. TAIZE PROPER- VENERATION OF THE CROSS (INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC)

C: Please be seated
PRAYER OF REFLECTION

Lord of compassion show us how to reach a deeper loving. Take us past the pain when love is cast
aside, to the source of healing where we can renew ourselves. Let us take in whatever is given us that is
unloving and cleanse it in your light and return it kind and clear. Expose our cave of darkness where we
hide our fears and let us see how the light transforms all it touches. Steady us as we look into the window
of our world and its perfect refection, as it offers us the choice of correction. Reveal to us the brighter
image of the one who stands within the greater possibilities, the fulfilment that is present in the
acceptance of every overcoming. AMEN

At this special moment in time, you can come closer to the cross on which hung the savior of the world.
The cross symbolizes the sufferings and death of our Lord Jesus and became the vehicle of our
redemption. Feel His Loving presence. Tell him everything that burdens your heart.

C: Please all kneel for the closing prayer

XII. CLOSING PRAYER

Jesus, loving of all loving, you ask every one of us to humble ourselves, spread love and peace
here on earth where people are divided. You were always in us to cast all our anxieties yet we
were forgetting you. You were in our hearts and we were looking for you elsewhere. When we
keep ourselves far from you, you were waiting for us. You open this way for us so that the
wounded body of yours may be liven for the communion of the poor of the earth. Thank you
for everything, My Lord and My God. Amen

SONG: Way Sukod

C: In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
