I. RATIONALE

In the world we live in today, it is high time to resort to eco-friendly and

environment friendly reserve. However, the exploitation of resources is widely

observed. This includes the contribution of human on waste that results into

pollutants in the environment.

The Clean Water Act of 2004 (R.A. no. 9275) entitled “an act providing for

Comprehensive Water Quality Management aims to protect the country’s water

bodies from pollution from land base sources as answer to this by the Government.

Garbage remains a main concern in barangay Zamora, Cabarroguis, Quirino. Some

problems we’ve observed is stocked solid wastes in the drainage canals. In the

continuous flow of water with solid waste, it can affect the larger bodies of water

such irrigations and ponds. It is an alarming situation because it will pollute the

water due to the toxicity brought by solid waste like plastics. This problem is due

to the lack of waste initiative and self-discipline of some residents.

As a solution, we came up with the idea Project N.E.T (Net Eradicators of

Trash), it is a project that concerns on the eradication of solid waste on drainages

for the reduction of waste dumping in water bodies. This projects aims to prevent

the solid waste in polluting water bodies. Thus, the expected outcome of the project

is to eradicate solid wastes in canal drainages at Zamora, Cabarroguis, Quirino so

that pollution on bodies of water will be diminished. As a student, it is a privilege

to execute a project that can benefit the environment thus saving it.
II. OBJECTIVES

This includes the expected outcomes and results of the project entitle N.E.T.

(Net Eradicators of Trash) :

a. To prevent the direct dumping of pollutants in water bodies.

b. To eradicate solid wastes in canal drainages of barangay Zamora,

Cabarroguis, Quirino.

c. To maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding and help trash collectors

in collecting trap waste in canals.

d. To help, save and sustain the environment and

e. To in still in the minds of every individual the importance of healthy

environment and ecology.

III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project N.E.T. (Net Eradicators of Trash) will tap everyone to help in

preventing direct dumping of solid waste on water bodies such as irrigations and

rivers.

The idea is to attach nets on tunnel drainages or canal before reaching the water

bodies. Through this process, we can eradicate the pollutants from reaching the

water bodies. The solid waste can be collected easily minimizing the effort in

collecting from drainages that supports The Clean Water Act of 2004 (R.A. no.

9275).
