Abstract –Extension program is an activity where an individual can experience a different way

of learning and involves a university partnering with a community group to build capacity within
that community. The study aimed to determine the impact of extension program of Polytechnic
University of the Philippines College of Accountancy and Finance (PUPCAF) in terms of self-
advancement, application of learning in accounting, and livelihood enrichment. The researchers
used descriptive method of research. The data were gathered through an adopted survey
questionnaire from previous study that was modified and employed by the researchers. The
respondents of the study were 129 graduates of the seminar entitled “Accounting for Non-
Accountants (AFNA)” an extension program of the PUPCAF in Mandaluyong City. Majority of the
respondent beneficiaries were 46 to 55 years old, females, married, attained a bachelor ’s degree,
owning a business, employed, and earning a monthly income of ₱20,001–₱40,000. Results revealed
that the respondent beneficiaries strongly agree that the extension program of the College of
Accountancy and Finance has created a great impact in terms self-advancement, application of
learning in accounting, and livelihood enrichment. In terms of self-advancement, it has significant
difference when it was grouped according to age, civil status, owning a business, and employability.
In terms of application of learning in accounting, it has significant difference when it was grouped
according to employability. In terms of livelihood enrichment, it has significant difference when it
was grouped according to age, and owning a business.
