JOB DESCRIPTION

DESIGNATION : DEPUTY MANAGER – H.R.M.


REPORTING TO : SENIOR PLANT MANAGER

1. AUTHORITIES:

1.1. To approve perquisites and reimbursements of employees as per company policy.

1.2. To approve administrative expenses like telephones, stationery, cleaning material,


contractor’s bills, recruitment, training and sundry expenses as per policy of the
company.

1.3. To approve leave and travel expenses of employees reporting to you.

1.4. To issue offer letter to the employees selected by the Functional Head up to position
of Deputy Manager.

2. RESPONSIBILITIES :

2.1. Responsible for recruitment and induction of new employees into the
organization upto Manager’s position.

2.2. Responsible for coordinating training needs of all the employees of the
organization as per policy / SOP.

2.3. Ensure adequate number of contract labours are deployed as per the
agreement / requirement.

2.4. Implement HR policies of the company and recommend reviews in policies


from time to time.

2.5. Ensure employee grievances are redressed appropriately without delays and
maintain harmonious industrial relations.

2.6. Ensure all relevant labour laws are complied with.

2.7. Responsible for ensuring effective salary & wage administration function as per
company policy.

2.8. Build effective rapport and liase with government and non government
agencies.

2.9. Keep employees informed on the Management policies.

2.10. Organize and coordinate the Performance Appraisal of employees, and recommend
for reward.

2.11. Prepare Annual Budget for the Department in line with the Organizational Budget.

2.12. Represent the organization before the Labour Court, Conciliation Proceedings, and
other authorities.

2.13. To administer welfare schemes & ensure their implementation.

2.14. Keep the management informed on the suggestions/ difficulties of employees.

2.15. Prepare, review, and implement the Standard Operating Procedure of the H R
Department as required under the GMP.

2.16. Take initiative & Coordinate events, like celebration of festivals, get-together,
sports, competition, etc.

2.17. Arrange for First Aid, Periodical Medical Examination & Hospitalization of
employees
