10. How long does a masters take and is it even worth it?
A master's degree usually takes 1.5 to 2 years to complete after you get your bachelors.
So, the average student trying to get a masters will take about 5 to 7 years depending on
schedule restrictions and other variables. On the other hand, a master's degree is
obviously only worth it if you are going to use it. A census taken in 2011 proved that you
could make up to 400k more in a lifetime of work. In the end it depends on the person, if
you are doing a job that requires a masters then it ends up being worth it, but if not a
masters is just a waste of time and money.
