- The poem is written by using figure of speech that helps to foregrounding the message of
the poem.
2. What is the structure of the poem?
- The poetry has no rhyme scheme it has a free verse. The poem has 42 lines

That I wasn’t made of failures nor sadness Alliteration
Nor methaphors, nor words, nor compliment

I was born to be a dust to fit in.

- The figure of speech help in foregrounding the message of the poem, because figurative
speech add flavor to writing and makes the experience of reading so much more
enjoyable and figurative speech help to emphasize the message of the poem.

the message/s of the poem? How it is presented?
- The message of the poem that the poet want to realize the readers is that even though
you’re suffering from the negative thoughts on your mind that lead you to be broken.
Don’t be drowning by your negative thoughts and insecurities. Time will come that your
negative thoughts will be positive thoughts that in the end you will look forward for
positive and good thing in your life.

- The theme of the poem is all about surviving to your own thoughts in your mind and to
your insecurities.

- After reading the poem, I felt mixed emotions. I felt sadness because some of the
teenagers nowadays suffering from this thoughts and situation. I also felt happiness even
though I suffer also that situation but I’m still here. I overcome those negative thoughts
on my mind and I conquered those insecurities in my life.
8. Who is the intended audiences for this poem? why do you think so?
- The intended audiences of this poem are the youth or people that suffering from
depression, having negative thoughts on their mind. I can see that our generation they are
many youth that experiencing depression, insecurities and anxiety. The poet want to send
a message to the youth or the people that they are worthy that there so many good thing
to look forward in life.
