The Greatest Type of Music Made

Music is sounds that are sung by way voices or played on musical devices. All of

humanity loves music but there is one type of music that most people do not have much

interest in it, Christian music. Christian music is mostly known as music that includes all

varieties of music with Christian text. It must have in its concept, content, and context some

qualities that Christ confirms. Well, in fact, Christian music is the way to express our faith

to the trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) and is an outlet to

praise and convey glory to the Lord. Also, it is to encourage our fellow brothers and sisters

of their journey with the Lord. The principals of God and His Holy word must be congruent

with the material contents of the Christian music, simply, it is the lyrics that determine the

music to be Christian.

The author of the music is the Lord, before time, the angels are already worshiping

God. Aforetime, some people used to sing to the Lord and there are even psalms that are

there before the book of Psalms in the Bible is created. The book of Psalms is written by

different authors and 85 out of 150 are written by King David. It is used over 700 years by

the Jews to worship God. As time passes by these kinds of music became a traditional word

of the day but not anymore. Christian music catalyzes the church, hymnals, and organs in

the late 1960s. In the 1970s, there was a movement called the “Jesus Movement” and it

makes a change in the field of Christian music.

 Some of the pioneers of the Jesus movement are Larry Norman (Father of Christian

Rock), Marsha Stevens (Mother of Contemporary Christian music), Nancy Honeytree

(First Lady of Jesus Music), Chuck Girard, The 2nd Chapter of Acts. From the Jesus

Movement, revival to the faith of many sparks but in the early 1980’s the movement bygone

and rock and metal genres appeared and some of the earliest Christian bands perform these

are Petra, Stryper, Bloodgood, and Undercover. In 1990’s the Christian music evolves once

again and its genres that time were Christian Rock, Christian Rap, Christian Metal/ Hard

Rock, Urban Gospel, Southern Gospel, Inspirational, Instrumental, Christian Pop

Contemporary, Christian Bluegrass, Christian Country Music, and Praise and Worship.

The industry that time increases drastically and some of the artists and bands that became

popular at that time is Carman, Kirk Franklin, Steven Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, dcTalk

and Third Day. Until now in the 21st century, Christian music never fades, and it is still

evolving. Some of the popular artists and bands are BarlowGirl, Casting Crowns, August

Burns Red, 12 stones and Jeremy Camp.

The genres of Christian music are so many. God is so good, and there are many

talented musicians/bands out there to display the Father’s love in musical form. Christian

Rock was an option to share the Message of Hope to people in the congregation who

wanted more than traditional hymns, especially youths, and to these externals of the church

that did not be aware of Jesus. Christian Rap is a rap style to share their faith reach places

that other styles could never enter and focuses on The One that can free someone from the

chain of glorifying sex, violence, alcohols, and drugs. Christian Metal/ Hard Rock uses a

couple of manners of metals, comparable to melodic metal, classic steel, velocity metal,

thrash metallic and screamo to be had to metal-heads, that is more likely feasible to find a
metal band that fits someone’s style and glorifies our Savior. Inspirational Music Blends

pop, contemporary, AC, hymns, and even praise and worship, without the company

worship factors. The different artists’ recordings make it filled with style. Instrumental

Music wants its listener to find beyond the song into the heart of the musician catalyzes by

the Holy Ghost. Christian Bluegrass is difficult and technically hard, belying the stereotype

of "mountain music" as being sluggish and plain. Some of the great instrument pickers are

bluegrass musicians. Christian Country Music, lyrically, is ready for genuine lifestyles.

And for many, genuine life entails heartbreak, as just right as the faith on the way to get

them via it. Present-day country music is much less outlaw and extra God law. And Praise

and Worship, at present it is more likely to found in the church Sunday services, quick and

effortless to sing (and to memorize) choruses that repeat a few situations make the style

best for corporate worship for the reason that even brothers or sisters who don't seem to be

conversant in a certain track can sing along easily after listening to one or two repeats of

the chorus.

Genuine praise and worship are regrettably deficient in most church buildings

today. God’s persons, in particular leaders in the church, because they have compromised

the very heart of praise and worship. Praise and worship are humbling your heart before

the Lord – we come previously than Him through faith, not through our emotions. Our

praise and worship is an expression of our hearts and lives. We are mentioning how grateful

we are before Him. It is written in Zechariah 4;6, “Remember that it’s neither by might nor

power, but by the Spirit that we enter in and praise Him.” Therefore, praise and worship

will not be an outward show off of leaping up and down, or screaming, shouting and
dancing. Nevertheless, if the Spirit of the Lord leads us that implies, nonetheless we cannot

do that via law or technique.

Evolving Christian music made the music team become the leaders of the

congregation in worshipping God. The Praise and Worship Team leads the congregation

in worshiping and praising God. Out of all, its members should be the first that has a clean

and pure heart for the Holy Ghost to flow throughout the church. It consists of electric

guitarist(s), pianist(s), bass guitarist(s), drummer, acoustic guitarist(s), back-up vocalist(s),

worship leader and the sound technician. Any genre of Christian music has these kinds of

musicians and everyone is playing a great role for the glory of God. And the most important

is, the members of the music team are not performers, they are worshipers that use their

talents for God’s glory and not theirs to take credit. For the reason that Father God gave

them those talents.

Christian music is different, unlike other music that needs a good voice to be

appreciated, here, the humbleness of the heart is what matters. Unlike secular music,

Christian music lets the worshipers sing at the same time with the praise and worship team.

What God is seeing is not your physical self but what are you inside and what are you

spiritually. Some persons are quite fine singers, and some are not but that doesn’t hold us

from belting out a track of pleasure once we are in love or stuffed with the Spirit of God.

The Lord provided us songs to specific our emotions whether of disappointment or

suffering. Also, songs when joyed and thankful to the Lord. The Lord wants to raise up

true worshipers and worship leaders. It’s not about how well you can sing or play an

instrument, but it’s about how much you are allowing the Lord to work in your heart and

in your life. This brings a fragrance of worship.

 Christian music can help to promote peace. Like secular music, Christian music can

also move people’s hearts. Hearing the perfect Christian music for someone can make him

change and when all people’s hearts are moved. The world will change into a new era that

there is no crime rate. Listening to the Christian songs that have the power of the Holy

Ghost to touch people’s hearts will eventually turn them into someone else. Only if people

can listen to Christian music every day to make it their word of the day then the world can

be a better place

Christian music is the greatest because it can move people’s hearts, not because it

is the world wants as of now. Opposing secular music will make most of the people react

negatively and make them hate the Christian music but eventually, they are to realize that

listening to these kinds of music helps their problems gone otherwise it will lessen the

weight of hardships. It can even remind that person that there is The Creator, God the

Father that is always there waiting for His child, to seek and find Him, and willing to help

all the time.
