Description

Calorfier has been designed to heat the water by means of Immersion Electric
Heater. It can either be used as storage type or continuous type. Once the temperature
achieved, it can provide the hot water continuously at designed outlet temp with
reference to inlet temp at designed flow rate.

The construction of the calorifier and overall dimensions are generally as shown
in drawing. The Calorifier consists of a Insulated horizontal galanised steel tank having
Immersion Electric Water heater with necessary Controls like RTD Temperature Sensor,
Pressure Gauge, Pressure Relief Valve, Water Level Sensor and Circulating Pump. A
control Panel is provided for operation. The tank and panel are mounted on a robust
fabricated frame.

Electrical Controls are provided as per control panel diagram.

Unpacking, Handling and Assembly - Installation

Unpacking

The Calorifier is dispatched in a wooden carat duly assembled condition. Just open the
carat and lift the whole unit with the help of provided 4 nos. Lifting Lugs on base frame
and rest the unit at place of installation. Unwrap the unit.

Installation & assembly

Please refer the sketch. Install the unit on well leveled floor by resting the base frame.

Connect your Water Inlet at N2 and Outlet at N3 connections.

1” BSP (M) connector require for both.

A flexible hose is provided at Pressure Relief Valve, which drains the excess hot water
which comes out when it is expanded due to heat. You can connect another long hose
upto your drainage.

Now, make the power connection in control panel as shown in sketch. A well-aware
wireman/electrician is required.

Suggested power cable is 4 Core x 6 SQ MM.

Open the panel with the help of 2 knobs provided. Insert the cable from bottom of
panel in provided empty port (first port from left). Now, connect the cable cores at
bottom most terminal in panel as shown below. 1-2-3 are phase and 4 is neutral.
Close the panel.

Now, connect the other end of cable to your supply.

The calorifier is ready to use.

Operating Instructions

Checks before starting…

Before starting, all connections should be checked. The tank should be full of
water. Refer the below sketch of panel front view.

Start Up & Panel Operation.

1) Power on your supply.

2) Switch on the MCB, located at outside of Panel on right side face of panel. It will
lights on the R Y B indicator.
3) Turn on the Switch S1, it will start the heater and circulating pump. Indicator L1
(shows the pump is on) & L3 (shows the heater is on) will lights on.

The TC, Temperature Controller cum Indicator will shows the current
temperature. Once, the temp will reach at your desired temp, you can use the
hot water at outlet.

The controller set @ 71°C and hence it will off the heater and indicate on L4. The Heater
will automatically start @ 68° C after cooling. And hence, the calorifier will provide the
hot water @ avg 70° C with designed flow rate.
Indicator L2 will only lights on when pump will trip due to overloading/failure. In
normal condition it will lights off.
Heater will stop or will not start if the water level is low. Indicator L5 will lights on in
that case. It shows the Low Water Level.
“IN ANY EMERGENCY, THE SYSTEM CAN BE STOPPED BY PUSHING “EM” BUTTON.
AND CAN BE RESTARTED BY RELEASING”
