Lesson Plan in Science Grade III

Learning Competency: Describe different objects based on thier characteristics (shape, weight,
volume, Ease of Flow)

I. Objective:

at the end of the period , the pupils should be able to:

1. Describe the three different state of matter

2. Describe how matter can change states

3. Show willingness to help each members on assigned group activities

II. Subject Matter:

Identify solid, liquid and gas.

Values: Being observant to the changes happening in our experiment.

III. Material

Instructions materials

• Tissue papers

• Plastic cups (transparent)

• Water color and water

IV. Procedure: Travelling water Experiment

• Prepare all the materials that needed.

• Arrange the five plastic cups.

• Place colored water into the glasses on the outside, leaving the middle one empty.

• Cut a piece of tissue paper in half and fold up each.

• Place a tissue paper so it’s run from the glasses with water into the empty one.

1. Greetings ‘’Good Morning Ma’am!

2.Prayer ( one student will be asked to lead the opening

the teacher calls their name.

B. Review

‘’ Before we begin to our lesson let us have a recap


on our past lesson. So can still recall our lesson
yesterday?

‘’The past lesson was about the properties of


‘’So last time we studied he properties of matter and matters’’
now we continue our lesson about matter. Now we
will be having an experimentation. In this activity (Students will raise their hands and answer)
will shows how the properties react to each other.

C. Motivational Activity
Okay class, who wants prizes? (Students will raise their hands)

So, many of you wants prizes. Well I have a rumbled (Students will raise their hands and volunteer)
pictures here. You should identify whether it is solid,
liquid or gas.

From these picture you can Identify the three


properties of matter.

D. Activity

Now we will be having an experimentation. In this


activity will shows how the properties react to each
other.

Group yourselves into five. (Grouped themselves)

Now that you have grouped yourselves I will give (The student will do the activity).
each group an activity which is experiment.

E. Assignments

Procedure: In one whole pad of paper. (1 to 2


sentences only).
Answer the Question.
