polynomials, rational algebraic expressions, linear equations and inequalities in
two variables, systems of linear equations and inequalities in two variables and
linear functions.
B. Performance Standard The learner is able to formulate real-life problems involving factors of
polynomials, rational algebraic expressions, linear equations and inequalities in
two variables, systems of linear equations and inequalities in two variables and
linear functions, and solve these problems accurately using a variety of
strategies.

lesson or presenting the
new lesson So we will be having an activity and I need your participation okay?
I want you to arrange the rumble letters to find the words which is connected to
our topic for today. Do you understand?
Second we have….
IRWTERE
What is the word?
The students are expected to answer the word rewrite.
Last we have…….
UNEA Q OTI
What is the word?
The students are expected to answer the word equation.
Lesson objective:
1. Rewriting linear equation.
D. Discussing new concepts Explore (English)
and practicing new skills
#1 The teacher will introduce to the students the two forms in writing linear
E. Discussing new concepts equations in two variables.
and practicing new skills
#2 1. Standard Form: Ax + By = C
2. Slope Intercept Form: y = mx + b
F. Developing Mastery Explain (English)
(leads to Formative
Assessment 3) The teacher will give illustrative examples on how to rewrite the linear equation
in standard form and slope – intercept form.
½ crosswise.
Rewrite the following equations in the form y = mx + b and identify the value of
m and b.

IV.PROCEDURES
J. Reviewing previous Elicit (English)
lesson or presenting the
new lesson The teacher will call a student to have a review on the past lesson.
After the activity the teacher will ask the following questions
Lesson Objective:
Graphs a linear equation given (a) any two points; (b) the x – and y –
intercepts; (c) the slope and a point on the line.
M. Discussing new concepts Explore (English)
and practicing new skills
#1 The teacher will introduce the 4 methods of Graphing Linear Equations.
N. Discussing new concepts
and practicing new skills 1. Using two points
#2 2. Using x and y intercepts
3. Using the slope and the y intercept
4. Using the slope and a point
O. Developing Mastery Explain (English)
(leads to Formative
Assessment 3) The teacher will give illustrative examples on the different methods of graphing
linear equations. Further, explain each example.
In, Geometry two points determine a line. Since the graph of linear
equation is a line, thus two points are enough to draw a graph of a linear
equation.
This can be done by identifying the slope and the y-intercept of the
linear equation.
This can be done by plotting first the given point, then finding the other
point using the slope.
The teacher will call a representative from each group to explain their answer.
C. Evaluating learning Evaluation (English)
½ crosswise.
Graph each linear equation using two points, x- and y-intercepts, slope
and the y-intercept, slope and a point.
1. (-2, 5/3) and (1/2 , (-1/3)
2. a = -2 and b = -7
3. m = ½ and 3
4. m = ½ and (0, 4)
C. Additional activities for Extend (English)
application or mediation
Assignment.
