A. Reviewing Previous Lesson or Unlocking difficulties
Presenting New Lesson The teacher will ask the learners to give the meaning of the following
terms:
PATTERN A model for making things, particularly clothes
SELVAGE The finished edge of the fabric.
SHRINK To compact cloth by causing it to contract when
washed, boiled or steamed.
WARP The lengthwise grain/thread of a fabric.
WOOF The crosswise grain/thread of a fabric.

Since you are done with pattern drafting and fabric preparation, what will be
the next step?
GROUP 1
Cut out the specified pattern pieces given to you. Also cut a piece of
paper the size of the dimensions given to represent fabric from which the
garment is to be cut.
SKIRT – Use pattern pieces 8C, 8D, and 8E. Cut a sheet of paper 6 ¼ by
11 inches for the fabric. Consider the lengthwise grain parallel to the 11-
inch edge. Do a without-nap layout, lengthwise fold.
