ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
S.Y:2017 – 2018

I. INTRODUCTION.

The K to 12 Basic Education Program is the flagship program of the

Department of Education in its desire to offer a curriculum which is attuned to
the 21st century. More than 8 years ago, Department of Education took on the
challenge of transforming Basic Education. The k-12 curriculums aims the
holistic development of every Filipino learner with 21st century skills who is
adequately prepared for work, entrepreneurship, middle level skills
development and higher education. The K-12 Curriculum has its overarching
goal, which tells that the teaching of TLE plays a very important role in the
realization of the overall goal of the curriculum.

II. OBJECTIVES.

TLE by its nature is dominantly a skill subject and so the students engage
in an experiential, contextual and authentic teaching-learning process. It is a
subject the students learn best by doing. The student under course offered
namely as Electronic Products Assembly and Servicing (EPAS) focus on the
basic competencies: Perform Mensuration and Calculation (PMC), Preparing
and Interpret Technical Drawing (PITD), Using and Maintaining Hand Tools
(UMHT), Terminating and connecting Electrical Wiring and Electronic Circuits
(TCEC) and Testing Electronic Components (TEC).

Teaching of TLE help learners to earn a Certificate of Competency (COC)

and/or a National Certificate I or II in or after Grade 9 and 10. Also the leaners
may opt to take the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track in Grade 11and 12
which enable the student to get a higher qualification (such as EPAS NC II, III
and IV).
