Human Trafficking: A Lucrative Industry in Today’s Materialistic World.

In the article, Human Trafficking: A Lucrative Industry in Today’s Materialistic World, the author
explain that trafficking became a lucrative industry. But the author doesn’t shown any materials that
support his opinion. For example, the data shown in an article only said about total annual revenue for
trafficking but doesn’t not said from where the data came from. Without supportive evidence the facts
can’t easily to believe. ( a ) identify the issue

Then, author name hhhhhhh, begins his issues with identify the issues of what is mean by
human trafficking and differentiate from human trafficking and people smuggling. He explain well about
the differ of human trafficking and people smuggling which is human trafficking explain as the victims
are not permitted to leave upon arrival at their destination while for people smuggling people
voluntarily or hire an individual to take them from one location to another. (b) point of view in a text

The author then presents four example of human trafficking to support his own point of view on
the issues. His first claim that on bonded labour. He said that bonded labour is the least known form of
labour trafficking today. The increasing evidence to support this claim, however is not provided. He simply
said bonded labour is the least known in human trafficking. The second claim is forced labour. This time,
the author supporting detail to support this example, from International Labour Organization. The
explanation is about men at risk of being trafficked for unskilled work, which globally generates $31 billion.

The third claim is sex trafficking. The author explain generally about this claim, without supportive
details such as example and statistic. He only explain from his opinion for introduction until end of his
third claimed. He should tell the name of country that face the sex trafficking because in the internet
already have many news about this issue. Other than that, this claim make the author does not show
completeness in doing research. For the fourth claim, child labour. Author give his supportive details by
using the International Labour Organization and United State Department of Justice. This supporting
details explain the exploited children involve in human trafficking and about 30% of the total number
trafficking cases in a year were children coerced into the sex industry. The supporting details from this
two, show the validity and credibility of the author in giving the right information. (d) completeness,
validity and credibility)

The author generally appears to be deductive arguments in his reasoning. He opened with a
general statement followed by the example of human trafficking. The example are bonded labor, forced
labor, sex trafficking and child labour. (g) to identify of deductive or inductive

The author used emotional tune which concerned in sharing the information to audience. he
wanted to inform to audience about human trafficking and want the audience to alert about human
trafficking problem because he believe that human trafficking had become a lucrative industry in today’s
materialistic world. (i) to determine an author’s tone.
The author’s intended audience is to NGO, women, men and parents, it is because many human
trafficking occurs to the audience that mention before. Why parents because it had been responsible to
parents to take care of their children so that their children does not involve in child labour. (j) to determine
an author’s intended audience.
