GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES:
1. All the Positions are Co-terminus with the scheme.
2. The candidates are advised to read the instructions carefully before filling up the
application form. Candidates are strongly advised to fill their application with utmost care
and caution since no request for any modification(s) therein will be entertained after
submission of the form to the TNJFU under any circumstances.
3. Maximum Age Limit: As per Tamil Nadu State Government norms

4. Separate application for each post will be accepted, along with self attested copies of
relevant certificates and Rs.5/- stamped self addressed envelope. The photograph
should be self attested.

5. 200 point communal roaster will be adopted as prescribed by the State Government for
recruitment.

6. The envelope containing the application form should be super-scribed in bold letters
as ‘APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF _______________________________ ’.

7. Local language (Tamil) is essential.

8. The cut-off date for determining the age limit and qualification is 31.07.2018

9. Persons already in employment can send their advance copy but at the same time, they
have to ensure that through proper channel copy of his/her application completed in all
respects should reach the TNJFU, Nagapattinam on or before the due date failing which
his/her candidature for the post concerned would summarily be rejected.

10. Applications should be submitted in the prescribed proforma strictly typed. Candidates
before applying for the post must satisfy that they are eligible to apply and fulfil the
criteria / essential Qualification / Age etc., prescribed for the post. If any information
furnished by the candidates is found false at any stage, his/her application /
appointment will be cancelled.

11. The application form duly filled-in along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.500/- and in
the case of SC/ST Rs.250/- drawn in favour of THE FINANCE OFFICER, TAMIL NADU
Dr.J.JAYALALITHAA FISHERIES UNIVERSITY” payable at Nagapattinam should be
sent, along with the application within the stipulated date. Application unaccompanied by
the Demand Draft will be totally rejected. The date of Bank draft should not be prior to
the date of issue of the advertisement and the same should be valid for a period of
three months. Candidate must writes his/her name on the back side of the Bank Draft.
12. No TA will be paid for appearing for the Interview.
13. No correspondence will be entertained from the candidates for selection/interview/
appointment.
14. Name of the post for which applied must be clearly indicated on the envelope along with

15. The last date for receipt of application is 14.09.2018 upto 5.00 p.m.
16. Candidates in their own interest are advised to submit their applications well in time and
before the last date to avoid possible delay in postal transit. University will not be
responsible for any postal delay. Applications received after expiry of the last date will
not be considered and entertained and no correspondence in this regard will be made.
17. The recruitment process will be subjected to the jurisdiction of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
18. The University, First Line Beach Road, Nagapattinam reserves the right to cancel the
recruitment to the post/s notified with or without assigning any reason thereof.
