Project Summary
• 18 panel photovoltaic array with Renesola solar modules and SMA string inverter.
• Produce roughly 4,495 kWhs of clean, renewable electricity annually.
• Offset an estimated 4,127 lbs of carbon pollution each year.
System Operation
Whenever sun shines on the solar electric panels, they will generate direct current (DC) electricity. That DC
electricity is transmitted to an inverter, which then converts it into AC electricity which can be used in your
home. Any electric loads (TV, dryer, electronics, etc.) operating while the sun is shining will use available solar
electricity. Any excess will flow out to the grid and you will receive a credit for the production.
Whenever the sun is not out, you will continue to purchase grid electricity as you do now. The local utility
company will record electricity you feed into the grid. If at the end of the month your generation is greater
than your consumption, you will earn a credit on your next bill. Credits are carried forward month-to-month.
System Diagram
Above is a grid tied solar electric system installed by ReVision Energy. These black on black
modules are similar to the modules we have proposed using at your home.
Incentives
This system qualifies for the following incentives:
• The solar system is eligible for a 30% federal tax credit. This credit (not deduction) is subtracted
directly from an existing tax liability. Please consult with your accountant or tax professional to
ensure that you will be eligible for the tax credit.
Warranties
Each component is warrantied separately.
Scope of Work
The quoted price for this system includes the following:
• Application fee for Net Energy Billing permit with your local utility (CMP or Emera)
Payment Terms
• Own Your Power: 20% due upon agreement of contract (drawn from GreenSky account)
• Buy it Now: 1/3 due upon agreement of contract
• Balance due upon completed installation
Special Notes
• System production predictions are based on weather data specific to your location and adjusted
based on conditions at your site. Snow accumulation and shading of the array will effect system
production. We have done our best to factor these into performance estimates, however
production will vary from year to year. Data estimates based on that of NREL PVWatts: http://
rredc.nrel.gov/solar/calculators/PVWATTS/version1/.
However, such estimates are for informational purposes only. Due to the large number of variables
affecting efficiency and performance that are beyond ReVision Energy’s control, ReVision Energy
makes no warranty or guaranty that the equipment or system installed in accordance with this
proposal shall perform in accordance with such estimates.
• Estimates of federal tax credits and state rebates are provided to the best to our knowledge. We will
assist with processing of state and local rebates, however, note that some rebate programs are first-
come first-serve with limited funding and we cannot guarantee you will receive them. Also, the
state rebate may be taxed as income depending on your tax filing. ReVision Energy does not provide
tax advice; you may wish to consult with a professional tax advisor to review the implications of
state and federal solar incentives based on your tax situation.
Designed by Experts
Whether it is new construction or an existing property, every project has singular aspects that our team carefully assesses in
the evaluation process. Your system is then designed by ReVision Energy’s experienced in-house team of engineers from
Brown, Dartmouth, MIT, and UNH. Our goal at every step of the design phase is to maximize system performance and
longevity while meeting the specific requirements unique to your project.
Installed by Professionals
By using our own highly-trained team of professional solar technicians on every project, we streamline system installation and
eliminate the confusion and difficulty of working with multiple subcontractors. In addition to NABCEP certification (the
industry’s highest level of training and accreditation), our technicians carry state solar installer certifications. ReVision Energy
also holds applicable Master licenses to ensure that every system is code-compliant and qualifies for government financial
incentives.
