o For a better management of User data at WPS level, it is recommended to have
Windows users declared as roaming users. If not possible, a good practice is to plan to
have the WPS User data persisted on a Disk accessible by all Machines on the network
(for performance aspects, avoid using Citrix mount point, prefer NFS or equivalent
instead).
3 WPS installation
WPS is delivered in the format of an ISO file.
WPS files must be extracted from the ISO, with a tool like 7Zip©(*) for instance:

Note that the ISO should not be mounted, files must be extracted.

To install WPS,
- Run the offline installer (file named “installer-x64.exe”) previously extracted from the
ISO by double-clicking on it in an Explorer opened on the machine (no need to run it “as
administrator”).
- Follow installation wizard.
o Note that the Configuration of WPS is done during the Installation phase, but can be
modified later on thanks to the WPS Configuration Tool
o Important steps like WPS Memory profile selection or WPS vs Proxy configuration for
Licenses retrieval are well explained in [R1].
- Once installation wizard exits, installation is done and WPS can be launched.
For more information about the complete procedure and meaning of each installation step, and
about Licenses retrieval, refer to [R1].
Before WPS can be used, it is required to retrieve Licenses and deploy them on WPS. For more
information about Licenses management, refer to [R1].
