BITS Conference 2019

October 5, 2019, we attended a seminar entitled “BITS Conference”. All the participants
from different schools in Batangas attended. 7:00 in the morning, participants were already at
SM Lipa City. Then, prayers from other school are led. Host delivers the opening remarks. First
motivational speaker held, Mr. Jose Rafael G. Dimaano a Digital Tranformation Consultant, his
topic is about the “Digital Transfromation”. Second Motivational speaker is Ms. Ella Manimtim
(QRIO IT Solutions) her topic is about “software QA Testing and Automation”. Third speaker is
Ms. Janette C. Toral an E-Commerce Advocate and Digital Influencer; her topic is “You Can Be
A Digital Influencer”. Fourth is Mr. John Titus L. Jungao a Data Scientist and Mathematecian,
his topic is about “Unlocking Business Value Through Data Science”.Next is Mr. Colin Christie,
the President Analytics Conversational Commerce. And lastly, Ms. Jasmin O. Andal the
Lifestyle Mompreneur, her topic is about the “Digital Entrepreneur”.

For me, the remarkable speaker is Mr. Jasmin O. Andal since I am a marketing student.
She discussed the Digital Entrepreneurship, a creating new ventures and transforming existing
businesses by developing novel digital technologies and/or novel usage of such technologies.
Digital Entrepreneurship has been viewed as a critical pillar for economic growth, job creation
and innovation by many countries including depends largely on digital entrepreneurial behavior,
culture and strategies as well as a supportive innovation ecosystem in which governments,
industry, business, educational institutions and NGOs work together. This speaker gave me a
technique on how to be effective entrepreneur. And she has enough knowledge in terms of
Digital Entrepreneurship. And also she motivates me to be a professional entrepreneur.

During the seminar, I knew that the speakers have enough knowledge to the topics that
they discussing. They provide a quiz bee competition for the different school. Each school has 2
representative students to participate the quiz bee. BSU Alangilan got the outstanding score and
won to the competition, they got the cash prize amounting P1,500.

1:00 onwards, the event is successfully done. I am thankful for requiring the BSBA
Marketing Management students to attend the seminar because I gained an additional knowledge
in terms of digital selling or online selling. These gave me a motivation to be more effective
students, also an effective entrepreneur someday.
