* Here are the step-by-step procedures on how to access the Internet on your phones for free on Smart and Globe using Opera Mini 4.2

modded and unmodded versions.

For Smart Users using Opera Mini 4.2 unmodded or original version:

1. Set the Internet profile and Java setting on your phone to Smart Internet. Change the proxy on the settings to 221.2.174.164 as the

proxy address and 8081 as port. You can also use the Smart GPRSInternet profile if you don't have Smart Internet.

2. Download the Opera Mini 4.2 Final Version fromhttp://www.operamini.com or from http://www.mediafire.com/?1toynwnyntc.

Note: Free downloading and uploading also works. Just make sure that you are using a working proxy like the one that I posted above. Below

Free Access to Gmail on Sony Ericsson

To setup free Gmail access on your Sony Ericsson phone using the default email client, configure the following settings below:

> Go to Menu>Messaging>Email>Settings

> Select "New Account" then enter the Account Name (Example: Gmail)

> Select "Smart Internet" or "myGlobe INET" on the option labeled "Connect Using"

> Email address: (Complete Email Address)

> Connection type: POP3

> Incoming server: pop.googlemail.com

> Username: (Complete Email Address)

> Password: (Gmail Password)

> Outgoing server: smtp.googlemail.com

> Advanced settings:

>> Encryption: SSL for both Incoming and Outgoing servers

>> Outgoing username: (Complete Email Address)

>> Outgoing password: (Gmail Password)

>> Incoming port: 995

>> Outgoing port: 465

Then after that, you need to install some certificates on your phone. Click the following link to download the certificates.

NOTE: Mine works on both sending and receiving. Just in case it will not work on your phones, try to change the following settings:

> Incoming server: pop.gmail.com

> Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com

> Encryption for Outgoing server: TLS

> Outgoing port: 25 or 587

> You can also check the settings of your Internet profile or data account.

100% working on Sony Ericsson K800i using Smart Internet and myGlobe INET. Just make sure that you have at least one peso load for

Java Settings and Internet Profile: Smart Internet or Smart GPRS

Proxy: 10.102.61.46

Port: 8080

1. Open Opera Mini mod v2.06 then go to Menu>Tools>Settings>Network

2. Put a check on the box that is labeled "Shadow connect"

3. Enter "http://wap.smart.com.ph" on the textbox labeled "The address to connect"

4. Put a check on the box labeled "Check time-out for connections"

5. Enter "120" on the textbox labeled "Time[s]"

6. Leave the checkbox labeled "Additional" unchecked

7. Leave the textboxes labeled "Server", "Port", "Username" and "Password" blank

8. Enter "wap.smart.com.ph@server.operamini.com:80" on the Opera Mini server textbox

9. Uncheck the box labeled "Reset of a server at an error"
