PROGRAM CONCEPT

I. Name of the Program

Event: Parochial Youth Fest 2019
Date: October 2019

II. Objectives
 Promote sports activities to inculcate sportsmanship and camaraderie among the
participants.
 Provide venue for the youth to enhance their skills and talents on sports and
 Engage fun, appropriate, and safe program for the youth.

III. Expected Outcomes

 Challenge the participants to be active members of the youth apostolate;
 Establish good friendship among the participants belong from different GKKs and MDs.
 To keep the youth connected to Catholic Church.
 Empower young people to become disciples of Jesus Christ with peace and human
dignity.

V. Scheduling of Games
 All event shall be scheduled whole day and night within 4 days.
 Request for the change of schedule shall not be entertained.
 All date, time and venue are stated in the game table and should be followed.

VI. Protest and Grievance

 All protest shall be made in writing addressed to the grievance committee.
 Protest letter shall stipulate the person/s, event/s, game number, officiating official/s,
time and the grounds being protested, duly signed by the team council.
 Protest not in writing shall not be entertained.

VII. Agreement
 All members of PYCG shall not be allowed to play/participate except in Festival Dance
Contest and Exhibition Games.
 Players under the influence of liquor and illegal drugs shall not be allowed to play.
 Team council shall be responsible for the acts of their players.
 Violation of the above started rules will result to disqualification.
 NUMBER OF PLAYERS/PARTICIPANTS, COMPOSITION and AGE
NOTE: Strictly players/participants can only be allowed to play and participate with at most of 2
events both outdoor/indoor/literary events. That means, they can join other events without counting
their 2 participants in outdoor/indoor/literary events.

NOTE: Not all rules are stipulated. Committee In-charge shall explain further before the game proper.

Outdoor Game
 Basketball
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 Each team is compulsory to have a team captain and responsible to their team.
 Each team must submit the number of players as well as the requirements (team
gallery, 2x2 pictures and photocopy of birth certificate.
 Players must wear sports attire during the game.
 The schedule of the game is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for referee’s decision shall not be entertained.
 The time allotment in quarters: men (40 mins), women (10 mins) and gays (20 mins).
 Each player will have five fouls.
 Each team will have three time-outs in every half of the game.
 No accessories are allowed during the game.
 Each team will have two technical fouls including saying bad words, if the player(s)
committed more than two technical fouls must eject automatically in the game.
 If each team will around more than 15 minutes on the time scheduled, the committee
will impose a default.

 Volleyball
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 Each team is compulsory to have a team captain and responsible to their team.
 Each team must submit the number of players as well as the requirements (team
gallery, 2x2 pictures and photocopy of birth certificate).
 Players must wear sports attire during the game.
 The schedule of the game is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.

 The score system for elimination round is 15 points in every set out of 3 sets, and for
the best four and final game is 25 points in every set out of 3 sets.
 Each team will have three time-outs in every set.

will impose a default.

 Badminton (Single)
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 Each team is compulsory to have a team captain and responsible to their team.

gallery, 2x2 pictures and photocopy of birth certificate).

will impose a default.
  Takraw
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 Each team is compulsory to have a team captain and responsible to their team.

2x2 pictures and photocopy of birth certificate).
 Players must wear sports attire during the game.

Indoor Game
 Word Factory
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 The schedule of the game is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for facilitator’s decision shall not be entertained.
 The score system will divide in three categories: easy round (min. of 3 letters), average
round (min. of 4 letters) and difficult round (min. of 5 letters). Each letter of a word is one
point. The highest total score in all rounds will declare as champion.
 The time allotment in every round is 60 minutes or 1 hour.
 If the representative will around more than 15 minutes on the time scheduled, the
committee will impose a default.

 Scrabble
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 The schedule of the game is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for facilitator’s decision shall not be entertained.
 The time allotment in every move is 1 minute.
 If each team will around more than 15 minutes on the time scheduled, the committee will
impose a default.

 Chess
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 The schedule of the game is to be followed strictly.

 The time allotment in every move is 1 minute.

Literary Contest

belong to a GKK.

Youth Night Event

 Religious Battle of the band
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to any GKK.
 The schedule of the event is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for facilitator’s decision shall not be entertained.
 Each band must prepare 3 music: joyful, worship and thanksgiving songs.
 If each team will around more than 15 minutes on the time scheduled, the committee will
impose a default.

 Extemporaneous Speech
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 The schedule of the event is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for facilitator’s decision shall not be entertained.
 Each representative must wear appropriate or formal attire.
 If each team will around more than 15 minutes on the time scheduled, the committee will
impose a default.

 Impersonation
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 The schedule of the event is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for facilitator’s decision shall not be entertained.
 Each representative has a freedom to choose to be performed.
 If each team will around more than 15 minutes on the time scheduled, the committee will
impose a default.

 Modern Dance
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 The schedule of the event is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for facilitator’s decision shall not be entertained.
 Each representative has a freedom to choose to be performed.
 If each team will around more than 15 minutes on the time scheduled, the committee will
impose a default.

 Solo Singing
 Participants shall be a bona fide member of Diocesan Youth Apostolate of SHJQP and
belong to a GKK.
 The schedule of the event is to be followed strictly.
 Liquor ban is imposed during the whole duration of the game.
 Complains for facilitator’s decision shall not be entertained.
 Each representative has a freedom to choose to be performed and must prepare 3 music
(novelty, love and hill song).
