I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the student should be

Demonstrate the expected learning in the subject

Checking of Attendance
Discuss House Rules

Presentation:

Discuss the course description of the subject

Practice:

Student will group themselves by 10 and the teacher shall


provide a copy of CG in every group. Let the student
evaluate the CG so they will have a grasp on what to expect
in the entire semester in this particular subject.

II. Evaluation:
One representative from each group must present the
consolidated insights from each member on the importance of
ICT and their expectation about the subject.

Motivation
Let the students narrate to the class their typical
daily routine.

Presentation:

Discuss the different types of communication using


PowerPoint Presentation

Practice:

Student will group themselves by 10 discuss within


themselves the types of communication they encountered at
school and let them consolidate the answers of their
members.

V. Evaluation:
Guessing Game: Teacher will show a picture and student will
guess if what type of communication the picture is trying
to convey.

Discuss the implication if communication fails

II. Subject Matter: Introduction to Information and Communication

III. Procedure:
Preparation:

Motivation
1. Divide the class into 6 groups.
2. Recall a message which you would like to unravel
or analyze. Example: official statement from the
President, memo from the school principal,
announcement from the city mayor, etc.
3. Try to analyze the message guided by the
following questions:
Where is the message come from?
How is the message sent?
Who is the receiver?

Presentation:

Using Power point Presentation, discuss the 8 components


of a message and an example for each component.
Video presentation (failure of communication)

Practice:

IV. Evaluation:

Distribute an article entitle “Typhoon Yolanda Aftermath”.


Let the student evaluate the said article and find out
within themselves what has been done to avoid such massive
death poll.

Presentation:

Using Power point Presentation, discuss the evolution of


communication
Video presentation

Practice:

Let the students roam around the building. Ask them to look
for any communication device/s and let them identify if it
belongs to traditional or new media.
IV. Evaluation:

called the movable type machine
___2. The first book printed in the Philippines
___3. Invented the film and built the company known as Kodak
___4. The date where world wide web has been launched to the
Philippines
___5. A prototype of a book
