BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The students’ academic performance depends on a number of socio-economic factors

like students’ attendance in the class, family income , mother’s and father’s education, teacher-

student ratio , presence of trained teacher in school ,sex of the student, and distance of

schools.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This research aim to benefit students, specifically Senior High School Students, and also

the administration of Masaya Integrated National High School in a way for them to be able to

understand the factor s in the students’ study habits which affect their academic performance.

It is important to have a clear understanding on what hinders and improves one’s educational

achievement . Hence, this assimilation will provide deeper awareness for the beneficiaries on

how the relationships of these variables affect one another. Results concluded in this research

can aid the school administration in enhancing the curriculum and strategies toward a more

effective delivery of learning. Teachers will also help in Understanding better diversity of

learning of their students’ and develop more effective teaching strategies and teacher-student

relationship in the educational institution.

Figure 1. shows the conceptual framework of the study. It entails the dependent and

dependent variables. The independent variables include the factors that affects the study

habits of the senior high school students . However, the dependent variable presents the

factors affecting the study habits of the senior high school students’

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

This study aim to determine the factors affecting the study habits of senior high school

students specifically to seek answer the following questions:

1. What are the factors that affects the study habits of the students :

1.1 Bullying

1.2 Financial problem

1.3 Family problem

2. What is the level of the respondents on factors affecting the study habits of the senior high

school students

RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS

There is no significant relation between the respondent, level of factors affecting the study

habits of senior high school students.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION

This study will involve the senior high school student’s of Masaya Integrated National

High School which evaluated through simple descriptive analysis and researcher-made
