I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the pupils will be able to;
a. Answer Wh- questions
b. State the facts and details of text and after reading.
c. Recite, rap, sing and act the poem
d. Apply on their daily lives.
e. Identify rhyme words

II. Subject Matter


 Topic: Don’t throw the seeds away (Comprehension)
 Materials: Pictures, ICT, Manila paper, Bond paper and Marker
 Reference: Google, LM pg. 344’

III. Procedure
a. Drill
 The student will sing the Fruit Song.
b. Review
 What was our previous lesson?
 Our previous lesson is Rhyming words
 Can you give an example of rhyming words?
c. Motivation
 The teacher will show a picture of the seed of fruits.
d. Presentation
 The teacher will introduce the new lesson.
 Our lesson today is about the important of the seeds.
 The teacher will present the poem of Don’t throw the seeds away.

Don’t throw the seeds away


Eat a fruit every day
But don’t throw the seeds away.
Here’s a simple thing you can do
You could tell all your friends too!

Plant the seed in the soil


It doesn’t take much time
Pour a little water there
A young shoot will soon appear

In time it’ll become big tree


Which gives so much to you and me!
This way there’ll be forest again
Green and clean our earth will remain.

Green trees this easy way


And it’s fun too, I say!
But remember
Don’t throw the seeds away.

e. Discussion
 Let the students read the poem
 After reading the teacher will explain the poem and ask some question about the poem.
a. What is the message of the poem?
b. Why we don’t have to throw away the seeds of the fruit after we eat?
c. What will happen to the seed if we plant it again?

f. Make 4 groups in the class.
g. Give the task in each group

Group 4 – the student will give an action to the All of me poem in front of their classmate

The poem is not just for reading. Its for singing, dancing, acting or rapping. And making a poem or reading a poem is
enjoy and its give us inspiration words.
