Mrs. Clarissa S. Quiming, the faculty and staff, students, parents and other guests, a
pleasant morning!

I am glad to formally welcome you all in this momentous day as we will again
celebrate one of the most-awaited events for everyone to showcase their skills and
abilities in sports, which is the School Intramurals. And for this year 2019, as what our
theme states, we are “Empowering the SCIans’ Sportsmanship, Diversity and Unity
through Sports.”

Intramurals, like what we celebrate today, always sought to develop the spirit of
sportsmanship. With the three day-activity of competition and fun ahead of us, it will be
a big opportunity for our diverse students to demonstrate sportsmanship that leads to
our unity as a family. This spirit of sportsmanship shows when you play fairly, when you
respect and treat your opponents, your teammates, the judges, referees, coaches and
other officials right. But this is also reserved for the cheerleaders, fans, and parents, for
they also need to be aware of how they behave during competition. This only means
that everyone of us, not just the players, is opted to lift up the true spirit of
sportsmanship, empower our school’s diverse community, and unite us as one family.

With this, I am hoping that we will all have another remarkable and significant
Intramurals.

Now (down intonation), I won’t take much long time in speaking for I know that
we are all excited and eager to witness the different presentations prepared for this day.
So again… welcome, good morning, and enjoy the rest of the program!
