EFFECT OF ALUMINA IN SILICONE RUBBER NANOCOMPOSITE ON THE
ELECTRICAL TREE CHARACTERISTICS
ABSTRACT
of cable accessories fabrication. This technology increase the resistance and life time of the
cable accessories. With the present of nano filler in pure polymer, it shows that, nano filler has
the ability to increase the strength of polymer nanocomposites in term of electrical, mechanical
and thermal properties compared to the unfilled polymer. In this paper, nano-alumina with the
amount of 0 to 3 vol% was used to upgrade the electrical tree properties in pure silicone rubber
(SiR). Electrical tree inception (TIV) and growth process in SiR at 0-3 vol% nano-alumina
were investigated . 8kVrms 50Hz ac voltage was applied through the needle electrode to
observe the tree inception voltage and treeing growth process. With the inclusion of nano-
alumina in SiR, the results indicated that the SiR nanocomposites can delay the existences TIV
and electrical tree growth process up to 2 vol%. However further increase nano –alumina up to
3 vol% drastically drop the TIV and fast electrical tree growth rate can be observed at 1 minute
Line following robot adalalah satu prototaip yang dibangunkan untuk mengikut
arahan berdasarkan perbezaan warna laluan yang diprogramkan. Dalam kajian
ini, kelajuan dan arah pergerakan line following robot diperhatikan dalam
tempoh 15 minit pergerakan. Line following robot ini dibangunkan dengan
menggunakan Arduino uno 14 masukan dimana ia mengawal pergerakan DC
motor dan mengawal sensor warna berdasarkan kod program yang
diprogramkan. DC motor dan pengawal sensor ini dihidupkan dengan bekalan
DC +5V. Keputusan menunujukkan bahawa pada t=100ms DC motor akan
bergerak pada kadar kelajuan yang ideal dan sensor pergerakan line following
robot mampu mengesan perbezaan warna hitam dan warna lain bagi
menentukan pergerakan Line following robot tersebut dalam tempoh 15 minit
pergerakan tersebut.
