After talking with my family and other members of the zoning board and staff I have decided to resign from the zoning 
board. I have learned so much about the county I grew up in and have spent my whole life during the 2000 or so hours I 
spent in our meetings. I apologize to the BOCC, ZB, and county staff for being a part a conversation that when edited 
intentionally to cut out context and all prior conversions in the almost 4 hour meeting, has caused a distraction to the 
important work the ZB is tasked with doing. If our residents expect me to show them the type of reverence I hold out for 
the God I serve, then I'm sorry to say I'm not the right fit. If someone's goal is looking for a reason to be upset, they're 
going to succeed, and if that's the way some of our residents choose to live their lives then I feel sorry for them, truely. I 
love this county and its residents and I plan on staying here for the rest of my life and hope my children will want to 
return here one day and that our county can continue to be a place they will want to return to. 
 
In closing, though I haven't particularly enjoyed the threats of being dealt with by the 2nd amendment, or being meet in 
a dark alley (luckily we dont have a lot of alleys here in Pace), or sometimes being engaged in meetings that last until 
after 1am, I am appreciative of the last 4 years of being engaged in trying to help solve the challenging issues our county 
is dealing with. And I'm also glad that our county has the problem of people wanting to be here, and hope that doesn't 
change.
