Komodo

Komodo dragons or ​Varanus komodoensis​ are the biggest living lizard in the
world. They belong to very old species of reptile. They are active during the day but
sometimes active at night. Komodo dragons are animal from Indonesia. They are
only live in Indonesia.

Komodo dragons have length about 3 meter, and weight up to 165 kg. Male
komodo dragons bigger than female komodo dragons. Komodo dragons have four
strong legs with sharp claws. They have a yellow long forked tongue which use to
detect taste and smell stimulus. They have a long powerful tail, the long approach
same with the body. They have 60 sharp teeth each about 2.5 cm.

Komodo dragons live in grassland, in Komodo Island, Rinca, and Padar,

Indonesia. They can live 15-30 years. These animal can run fast, the speed up to 20
km/hours. They can climb trees. They can swim well, and dive until 4.5 m. Komodo
dragons include loner animal, they gather only when eat or reproduce.

Komodo dragons are carnivore, they eat birds, reptiles, small mammals.
Komodo dragons eat with torn their prey and swallow them. Komodo dragons
include endangered species. These animals are protected with government
regulations. Komodo dragons endangered because difficult to reproduction. In
Indonesia was stand Komodo National Park that function for protect them. Komodo
National Park located in Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT).

Crocodile

Crocodiles are large reptiles that live in water. Crocodiles generally inhabit
freshwater habitats like rivers, lakes, swamps and other wetlands, but there also live
in brackish water such as estuarine crocodiles. Crocodile is the main food animals
such as the vertebrate fish, reptiles and mammals, sometimes prey on mollusks and
crustaceans depend on the species.

Crocodiles are ancient animals, which is only slightly changed because of

evolution since the time of dinosaurus.Buaya can move very quickly over short
distances, even out of water.

This beast has a very strong jaws, which can bite with incredible power, making
it an animal with the biggest bite force. Crocodile bite pressure is not less than 5,000
psi (pounds per square inch; equivalent to 315 kg / cm ²) . Crocodile teeth pointed
and sharp, very useful for holding prey. Crocodile attacks its prey by biting prey to
pounce at the same time, then pull firmly and abruptly into air.Buaya prey on fish,
birds, mammals, and sometimes also other, smaller crocodiles and even crocodile
carcass of an adult. This reptile is an ambush predator, he waited for prey, land
animals, or fish over and jump on him abruptly. As the cold-blooded animals, these
predators can survive long enough without food, and seldom really need to move to
hunt their prey. Although it seems slow, crocodiles are top predators in their
environment.
 In the breeding season and nesting crocodiles can be very aggressive and
easily attack humans or other animals that mendekat.Di spawning season is very
ferocious crocodiles guard their nests and eggs. Parent female alligator usually keep
their eggs with buried under mounds of earth or sand mixed with the litter of leaves.

Crocodile body size varies greatly from species to species, ranging from the
dwarf crocodile to the giant estuarine crocodiles. Large-bodied species can grow

Alligator

Alligator are ones of some many reptiles in the world.This reptile are strong
and large. Alligator is an animal that is still closely related to crocodiles . The name
alligator is taken from the Spanish el laganto.Superficially ,the alligator looks reather
like a crocodile.But,there are important differences with crocodile.Differences with
crocodile is looks from the mouth and teeth, alligator's mouth look wider and teeth
lips looks neat ,because this cover them. While the crocodile’s mouth has a longer
and formed a V, and a lot of their teeths always out of the lips.

There are two species of alligator in the world. Chinese Alligator (Alligator
sinensis) and American Alligator (Alligator mississipiensis).And there are two
countries in the world can be founds alligator.There are in United States and the
Republic of China.But in the Republic of China,the alligator to extinct from the
world.This only live in the Yangtze River.The American Alligator can be founds in
theUnited States from Carolina to Florida.In the forida there are about 1 million of
alligator can be founds.American Alligator can be lives in freshwater , such as ponds,
swamp, wet land and rivers.

Alligator are carnivores animal. The main prey of alligators are smaller
animals that they can kill and eat in one bite.This reptiles only reproduction in
spring.In the spring when the waters are warm, this reptile can be to spawn for
reproduction.

Snakes
Snakes are reptiles (cold-blooded creatures). They belong to the same group
as lizards (the scaled group, Squamata) but form a sub-group of their own
(Serpentes).

Snakes have no legs but a long time ago they had claws to help them slither
along. Snakes are not slimy. They are covered in scales which are just bumps on the
skin. Their skin is hard and glossy to reduce friction as the snake slithers along the
ground.

Snakes often sun bake on rocks in the warm weather. This is because snakes
are cold-blooded and they need the sun’s warmth to heat their body up.
Most snakes live in the country. Some types of snakes live in trees; some live in
water, but most live on the ground in deserted rabbit burrows, in thick, long grass
and in old logs. A snake’s diet usually consists of frogs, lizards, and mice and other
snakes. The Anaconda can eat small crocodiles and even wild boars.
Many snakes protect themselves with their fangs. Boa Constrictors can give you a
bear hug which is so powerful. It can crush every single bone in your body. Some
snakes are protected by scaring their enemies away like the Cobra. The Flying
Snakes glides away from danger. Their ribs spread apart and the skin stretches out.
Its technique is just like the sugar glider’s.

Chameleons
Chameleons are member of the reptiles class, more than 3.000 species live in
the world. In length, chameleons have abaout 10 cm, in weight, chameleons have
about 15 ounces.

Chameleons don’t live in families. Lizard babies must learn to live in on their
own. Insects are the favorite food of most chameleons,specially mosquito. Many
chamelions catch their prey by using their tongue. Almost of chameleons have light
brown colour.

Chameleons have a long tail and a long tongue. The lizard’s tail is so easy to
break off from their body. Chameleons do it because they must keep themselves.
