CONCLUSION
INTRODUCTION
In the past few decades, there has been a revolution in computing and
communications. All indications stated that technological progress and use of
information technology will continue
at a rapid pace. The processing power of microchips is doubling every 18 months.
The latest technology headlines gadget, smartphone trends, tablets, personal
digital assistants, PlayStation 5 with interactive controllers,
Chip and PIN readers, etc. Emerging technologies include a variety of technologies
such as educational technology, information technology,
nanotechnology, biotechnology, cognitive science, psychotechnology, robotics,
artificial intelligence, etc.
I-1. Robotics
Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction,
operation, and application of robots as well as computer systems for their control,
sensory feedback, and information processing.
These technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans
in dangerous environments or manufacturing processes.
I-3. Nanotechnology
Nanotechnology (sometimes shortened to nanotech) is the manipulation of matter on
an atomic, molecular, and supramolecular scale.
A more generalized description of nanotechnology was subsequently established by
the National Nanotechnology Initiative,
which defines nanotechnology as the manipulation of matter with at least one
dimension sized from 1 to 100 nanometers.
I-4. 5G Telecommunications
5G is the term used to describe the next-generation of mobile networks beyond 4G
mobile networks.
5G has better coverage area and high data rate at the edge of the cell. It has low
battery consumption.
With 5G, you'll see exponentially faster download and upload speeds. The time it
takes devices to communicate with each other wireless networks
will also drastically decrease.
TRANSITION
As science expands our understanding of the world can lead to the emergence
of new technologies.
These can bring huge benefits, but also challenges, as they change society’s
relationship with the world.
This secong part will focus on both positive and negative impacts of emerging
technologies in our society.
Lack of physical clues that are inherent characteristics of e-commerce also make it
vulnerable to fraud and thus increase certain costs for e-commerce merchants as
compared to traditional
stores. Problems continue to occur in online payment and delivery. New technologies
are being developed to protect the use of credit cards in e-commerce
transactions, but the need for greater security and user verification leads to
increased costs. Many people continue to loose their jobs due to automatisation of
business process.
Human genetic modification might allow us to “design” babies with whatever physical
and intellectual attributes we consider desirable.
It is for the first time in our "species" history we can actively influence our
evolutionary process. The question is, what will happen if not everyone has access
to these technologies
or if some decide to “opt out”? Environmental threats of nuclear and fossil fuels
energy sources have serious probability of climate change generated by gases
emitted to the atmosphere,
