TYPES OF PREVENTIVE PROMOTIVE EFFORTS IN SAKINA
The Ministry of Health added, one of the breakthrough efforts and proven to be able
to increase proxy indicators (delivery by health workers) in decreasing Maternal Mortality
and Infant Mortality Rates is the Birth Planning and Complications Prevention (P4K)
Program. The program, using this sticker, can increase the active role of the husband (Alert
husband), family and community in planning a safe delivery. Participating in the class of
pregnant women, and giving flags to pregnant women, exercising and engaging their
husbands in socializing activities. The program also improves preparation for complications
during pregnancy, including planning for the use of contraceptive devices / drugs after
childbirth. In addition, the P4K program also encourages pregnant women to get a pregnancy,
childbirth, puerperal examination and babies born by skilled health workers, including
screening the status of complete tetanus immunization in every pregnant woman. Mothers are
also encouraged to initiate early breastfeeding (IMD) followed by exclusive breastfeeding for
6 months. Delivery planning can be done when the mother, husband and family have
knowledge about the danger signs of pregnancy, childbirth and childbirth; mother and baby
care care; breastfeeding; immunization schedule; as well as other information. All of this
information is in the MCH Handbook given to pregnant women after being recorded through
P4K. The MCH Handbook also functions as a tool for monitoring the development of the
health of pregnant women and monitoring the growth of the baby until the age of 5 years.
