My Reflection in PPG

“I learned many great things in this subject”

That was the common phrase used by many when someone asked them about
their learnings in some of their subject. Well, I can’t deny it since I also said that
to one of many questions asked by my teachers, and I also used it just to finish it.
Yes, for the honesty, I hate it when a teacher asked a student about their
reflection, that force us to lie in the paper about what they actually learned. You
have to say this…that… or those… to let your reflection appear flattering to the
teacher even it is just a lie. Of course, we sometimes do that to boost the ego of
the teachers so that they will rate your work high score, if not, maybe you just
wanted your work sound sweet to the eyes of the readers. It is typical style of
most students who were asked the same question; “What did you learn in this
subject?”. The question is, Did I really learn something?

Yes and No

Yes, I learned many great things in PPG. Usually I always define Politics as
government activities and laws, and always stuck in that for how long. But when
it was introduced to us the true meaning of Politics, my usual finding about this
term shaken me and gave me motivation to see farther and wider about politics,
leaving my narrow insight of subject. I never taught that through this subject, I
may able to see behind things, especially the history of it in the Philippines, and
sharpen my wisdom about politics.
No, Why? It is because politics is an Art, and Art is eternal and always lives in
you even you didn’t notice it. Actually, It is not literally that I did not learned
something, perhaps I said No in some part because Art cannot be learned, instead
it is taught.
My Reflection in DISS

I confidently say this that I learned many great things in DISS

Sure, would anyone say that they didn’t learned something about this great
subject? I guessed they might having a hard time in dealing this one.
I learned that humanity is not all about being physically human at all. Sure, you
were born as a human and died human, PHYSICALLY. How about in “How to be
A HUMAN?”
Yes, I learned many disciplines and concept in humanities and I have a great
day in listening of these topic since my teacher and our class have a great
interaction, thus making us to enjoy the lesson.

Next, is being a leader.

Even Though it is not directly taught us about leadership, but I learned it in many
ways through this subject.
Lastly, In relation to this, social sciences are very important disciplines that
needed to be studied because understanding the behaviors of each species at present
comes the capability to think and create solutions that would solve the social issues
since what reexperience now is the result of what happened in the past. These
solutions are the central importance of why social sciences, although often
overlooked, are still needed. moreover, even in the simplest ways, social sciences
are applicable. An example when a lover leaves another, we would come up with
the questions “why” and “what happened”. $history comes in as you look back on
the struggles that happened in the past, then social sciences are concerned in terms
of the behavior and interaction of the lovers at present, while humanities come in
because of the lessons learned that makes one understan himself better as a person.
It is proven that social sciences are disciplines and ideas that are timeless as it is,
inevitably, a part of life.
