SKILLS AUDIT FORM

Guidance Notes for Completion

Please refer to the Redeployment Procedure for further information about the process.

a) A Skills Audit is an ongoing working record of your knowledge, skills and experience gathered from your
current or any previously-held positions and/or any relevant skills/experience gained from responsibilities
held outside of employment.

b) The information you provide on this form will be used within HR to assist the ‘matching’ process e.g. to help
match your skills and experience to potentially suitable job vacancies that become available during your time
on the redeployment register.

c) You may seek assistance from your manager or from your HR advisor in completing the Skills Audit where
required.

d) It is important that this form is completed as fully and as accurately as possible, as this form will be used in
place of the usual application form for potential suitable vacancies across the university.

e) The list of skills shown under ‘Additional Information’ is there to help you identify some examples and is not
exhaustive. You can add to this list as appropriate and you do not have to complete all sections if it is not
applicable to you.

f) Include everything that you feel is applicable. The more information we have about the skills you possess
the easier it will be to successfully redeploy you into a suitable vacancy.

g) An HR advisor will meet with you to discuss and sign off your Skills Audit before the matching process
commences.
