PowerPoint: https://jmp.sh/zy0ZxZX
There are following core tenets of the constitution of U.S. These are; Checks and balances,
First and foremost, checks and balance is a model in US’ constitution which monitors all the
three organs of the state to be confined within their own authoritative limits, hence forming a
separation of power. There are three organs of state according to US’ constitution which are;
Judiciary, Legislative and Executive. These three organs or institutions have their own role in the
functioning of different affairs. So, Checks and balance model keeps a check on every institution
that, it should work within its own limits and one breach its powers and set limits. Then comes
government divides powers within the government (Federal) and states. There are some
powers, which are owned by only states and others by only Federal, whereas there are some
powers which are collectively shared by both forms of governments. There are some
jurisdictions, which are solely under the control of states, while there are others which are
under control of Federal government, such as; there are some states in America, where weed is
legalized whereas, there are others where it is illegal. Judicial review is yet another pillar of
constitution which is a power of Supreme court in US’ constitution to decide about the future of
any law in any of the branches of the government. Supreme court, moreover, checks the legality
and legitimacy of that law according to the constitution. A judge, especially of the apex court,
analyses the legitimacy of a certain law. Furthermore, a limited government means that

government abides by the principles of the constitution. Any other action out of the
sovereignty is the general will of the people or in other words Popular Sovereignty means that
power is in hands of people. It is constitutional right of people to amend any law, through their
constitution to bring amendments in Law. There are many amendments in history of US, which
which have been made by people through protests and other means. have been made by
people through protests and other means. Last but not least, separation of powers is the last
core tenet of the constitution, which says that power must be confined to a specific institution.
Separation of powers is the model in constitution to govern. This form of government divides
three organs of the state in terms of powers; Legislative, Judiciary and Executive. All of them
have their own powers and no one can intervene in the powers of other institution.
