1. Give children a chance to refuel on many level.
9:10 – 9:25 15 RECESS  Physically

2. Children take their snacks and a chance for teachers to incorporate hands-
on activities.
3. Develop desirable table manners.
4. Value of being independent,disciplined and being conscious of healthy and
nutritious foods are deliberately integrated.
Provide children’s with opportunities to:
 Have time to stay still and be quiet over stimulation
 All day children’s are bombarded with sounds,sights and smells.
9:25 – 9:45 15 Rest/Story Time  Resolving conflicts learning to play together and responding to the
demand of adults is hard work for children.
 Learning about health and hygiene
 Developing of time,learning the sequence of daily activities
 Provide opportunities for listening,speaking and making predictions.
9:45 –10:30 45 Work Period 2  Learn to walk independently and collaboratively.
 Make choice over their work.
 Gain control over what they do.
 Develop numeracy skills.
10:30 – 10:50 20 Indoor/Outdoor  Provides opportunities which may either be quite or active.Quieting
activities include thinking games and activities that involve music and
light movement.
 Active and vigorous activities include ball games,relays,routine
exercise or dancing.
10:50 – 11:00 10 Meeting Time 3  Children are being prepared to go home.They are reminded on some
road safety rules to follow.
