each student at Hoa Sen University s an ntegral part of the course, which aims to

from practice at the company.
I spent two months and a half of the work-awareness internship as a real employee. I
met many practical situations, and difficulties. During this time of internship, I
acknowledge professional and social experiences. I also self-assessed my strengths
and weakness. The aims of this work-awareness internship report is to represents the
daily activities and the experience, which I achieved.

My internship lasts in 11 weeks working at JOBTOWN COMPANY LIMITED, in

Marketing Department. I have worked from 18 June 2018 when the company is in
process of building the brand awareness. Therefore, there are many works for me to
do and to learn.

It can be said that the more challenges this first internship gave me; the more I
improved myself in marketing fields.

ii
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

At the very outset, I would like to thank Hoa Sen University for the work-awareness
internship. This apprenticeship truly gave me a lot of precious lessons and
experiences. I am thankful to all the lectures of Hoa Sen University who provided me
with helpful and invaluable knowledge. I learned many valuable concepts through
real-world examples, and I will continue to apply what I learned beyond the
classroom. They created an environment in which I felt free to ask questions and were
always available for help in office hours to revisit material or just have a more casual
conversation.
The internship opportunity I had with Jobtown Co., LTD was a great chance for
learning and professional development. Therefore, I consider myself as a very lucky
individual as I was provided with an opportunity to be a part of it. I am also grateful
for having a chance to meet so many wonderful people who led me through this
internship period.
Next, I would like to thank my brilliant and truly outstanding Managing Director, Mr.
Hoang Tien Nha, whose leadership and vision steered this company from day one.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

The purpose of education in universities and colleges is not only to provide theories
from books to students but also to encourage them through the real working
environment in order to create a new workforce for the society. For that reason, Hoa
Sen University has developed a program of study for its students with two internships.
They are considered an opportunity for students to test their knowledge, improve their
skills, and learn new things from reality.

In my actual job at Jobtown from June 18, 2018, to August 31, 2018. I had my own
plans for achieving good results for myself and thinking about what I should do to
lift up my knowledge and skills in the professional working environment. This report
is mainly about what I did and studied for a short time I worked as an intern at
Jobtown Company Limited. I aim to achieve the following goals:

 Goal 1: To get exposure in the working environment resulting in the

advancement of practical knowledge, confidence, and diplomacy.
 Goal 2: To develop interpersonal, managerial and communication skills.
 Goal 3: To support team members to develop the company's brand.

Relationship with Supervisor and Coworkers

 Relationship with Supervisor

Working with Mr.Van, I really learned a lot in a short amount of time. He wants to
train and shape us a proper way to improve every day.

The most impressive thing that I have seen is his enthusiasm at work as well as the
attitude that he always shows. The feeling of working together is very comfortable,
it gives me opportunities to develop what I have as well as give us a lot during the
practice. Short time, but also the honor to meet and know him is something I feel very
respectful in the student time.

 Relationship with Coworkers

Jobtown is a small organization with approximately 12 employees and there is an

open atmosphere. This made it easier to get to know the people and the work they do.
My colleagues were very helpful with introducing me to the work that they do and
they have shared their experience and knowledge with me. I have been involved with
several tasks and I have been working independently. This gave me a good all-round
view of the work that is done and how the organizations operate.

Experience:
I learn how to edit a video clip and have a chance to be an actress. Although the
filming took place in a morning only, it was very difficult period of time for us to
take nice scenes. Just a simple video clip with 5 characters and short scenes but we
had to shoot many times for each of them. That was my first time being a supporting
actress in a video clip, so it was such a memorable experience for me. I had chance
to perform in front of camera, try to express exactly what had been written in the
script and how to combine with other members in our ‘film crew’.

share the latest recruitment and programs they know. Employers may also use this
group to advertise internship vacancies to attract candidates to apply.
Result:
Building a group has 4300 members within 4 weeks
Experience:
I have learn a lot about our target market from a community. The types of questions
they ask, the comments they make, and the surveys they answer while in that
community are extremely valuable for growing our business.

20
CHAPTER 4: EVALUATION

My main goal for this internship was to immerse myself in the real working
environment, allowing me to see my strengths and weaknesses. Gaining experience
through internship it is a great way of implementing my knowledge on practice,
learning the things by doing them, building my confidence and taking new initiatives.
Since this kind of internship was completely new to me I had to acquire some new
skills. These skills include business communication skills, time management skills,
risk management skills, video editing skills, problem resolving skills, and those
digital marketing skills. These skills were not difficult or challenging, especially not
after I had been working at this organization for a couple of weeks. But for me, it was
good to see what practical skills are required for a job like this. The internship also
allowed me to expand my knowledge of digital marketing. During the internship, I
have processed a lot of projects, which meant that I read about contexts, project goals,
and working methods. This way I got to see a lot of examples from the field. I got to
read and learn about things which in textbooks are often described in abstract
terminology.
My excellent strength s that am a quick and nitiative learner. believe that learning s
the key to mprovement, so learning s a very necessary skill n life. enjoy learning new
things and challenging myself. Most of the times, when am trying something new,
because of my determination to make t good on the first try, learn quickly and make
a good work and on the things, try.
There are two weaknesses can be clearly dentified through my work performance n
the nternship. One s the limitation of my oral communication skills, n other words,
my English speaking skills need mprovement. Although my supervisor reflected my
oral communication skills as satisfactory, am quite aware of my limitations n English
speaking. Sometimes my expressions cannot convey my deas effectively which
results n my colleagues finding difficult to understand what mean. n order to mprove
my English speaking skills, the most effective method s a constant practice. By
learning from native English speakers, then practicing over and over n daily life,
believe this weakness can be mitigated at last.
The other weakness that I have is my insufficient initiative of doing the job. Usually,
I wait for the tasks to be assigned by my supervisor rather than actively asking for
jobs to do. Initially, I performed like this because I did not want to bother my
supervisors and disturb their work when they were busy. Long time past, it became
my working style. Although I acted voluntarily in most matters, it is not an adequate
good working attitude for a professional. I think I should invest more enthusiasm and
motivation into my job and be more initiative to contribute my team in the future.

21
CHAPTER 5: RECOMMENDATION

The first nternship s a big challenge for students; however, think everyone can
overcome t and get good achievement f:
 Try as best as you can to work on all the tasks assigned by the company. When
you were assigned a task, sometimes t could be familiar and easy for you; but
sometimes t could be totally strange and difficult. f you are n the second case,
what you should do s try all your best to accomplish your task. The mportant
thing here s not only this task’s result but also your working attitude.

 Build relations with colleagues. Good relations can bring you more than what
you expect. Since the colleagues n company have wider knowledge than you,
especially they have a lot of experiences working n the environment which
you are taking your nternship; learning from them s never unnecessary.

 Make yourself a sensible schedule to ensure that you can finish your tasks at
company and your report for the nternship at the same time.

22
CHAPTER 6: CONCLUSION

On the whole, this internship was a useful experience. I have gained new knowledge,
skill and met many new people, though 11 weeks attachments are not enough for a
person to learn all those, the relationships made there is a lifetime asset who are still
with me helping learn so many things. For a young blood like me working with the
creative minds and professionals definitely was a great experience for me. The office
and people there were great like home. I achieved several of my learning goals. I got
inside into professional practice. I learned different facts of working. I learned more
about the digital marketing, event. There is still a lot to discover and to improve.

The internship is also good to find out what my strength and weakness are. This help
me to what skill and knowledge I have to improve in coming time.

At last, internship has given me a new rights and motivation to pursue a carrier in
industrial background. Again, this report is done with a lot of limitations and
obstacles. Thanks to so many people who helped me doing this report.
