MECHANISM FOR ELECTRIC MOTORCYCLE:

Same mechanism as the regular bike as in the picture below, sproket is fixed on the Rim and chain
connects the motor to the sproket thus this mechanism cause the tyre rotation, As in the regular
motocycle we don’t have any sproket chain system on the other side of the tyre because we don’t need
to add this feature however, in terms of electric motorcycle conversion within the petrol engine
motorcycle we can add the the same mechanism behind the rim (to the other side of the rim) and space
matters because other side of the rim are not enough space to manage all this however, the solution is
we can add the same mechanism to the other side of the rim and placed the motor to the space under
the seat (that is entirely different part of the space but the mechanism can possibly work).

However, the main challenges now we are facing is to design a Controller that can able to do all these
things described below:

 High voltage and low voltage protection circuit.

 Speed control circuit.
 Over heat protection.
 Avoid battery overcharge.

These can be made a controller to protect and operates the motor.

further,

1. The acceleration factor is entirely dependent upon the speed control circuit connected through
the throttle.
2. The braking system is not a big deal to make it with hydraulic disc braking system.
3. Motor selection.
4. The battery selection is according to the motor type and backup time.
The petrol engine of the motorcycle will run the same as it works but when petrol is not enough to run
the motorcycle just start on the electric power and continue your journey. While running on petrol
engine the battery starts to charge.

NOTE: Several other references are given below however, as we don’t have any material on the
internet about this mechanism but do have the basic concepts of how it works and other mechanisms.

 ‘In terms of the environmental impact the Gasoline engine produces 170.9 g/mile of CO2, while
the electricity only produces 49.699 g/mile of CO2. This means, the gasoline engine produces
three times as much Carbon Dioxide compared to the electric equivalent. The electric motor has
a lesser impact on the environment.’

 The results confirm the design assumptions including the low energy consumption by the
motorcycle's drivetrain. The top speed of the motorcycle was intentionally limited to 150 km/h,
mostly due to rapidly increasing aerodynamic drag above 70km/h.
