BRIEF DESCRIPTION :

The Project involves of Lot 1 – Repair and Rehabilitation of 4 Classrooms in Darahuway Guti
ES, Catbalogan City Samar. The work of the structure is stipulated in the approved program of works.

CONSTRUCTION METHODS

MASONRY WORKS
All masonry units should be checked for structural strength. Masonry units should place in
accordance with plans and specifications. All cells of concrete hollow blocks to be laid shall be filled with
cement mortar mixture of 1 part of cement and 3 parts of sand, by volume. All concrete hollow block walls
shall be reinforced with 10mm diameter bars both ways for every concrete hollow block laid horizontally
and vertically.
ROOFING WORKS AND STEEL WORKS
This item shall consist of fabrication and installation of roof framing, trusses and other web
members of the steel structures, materials specification shall be specified in the detailed drawings. Roofing
materials shall be installed with pre painted corrugated GI sheets with 0.50mm in thickness.

DOORS AND WINDOWS

The designs and specifications of materials for doors and windows to be installed for this
project are shown in the Schedule of Doors and Windows detail drawings.

CEILING WORKS
This item shall consist of fabrication and placing of ceiling frames and ceiling structure of ¼’’
Marine Plywood and metal furring, spaced are specified in the drawings

ELECTRICAL WORKS
The electrical installation shall be done in accordance with the approved plans and
specifications under the direct supervision of Master Electrician. The electrical wiring shall be installed
properly as specified in the plans with PVC electrical conduit and fittings.

PAINTING WORKS
All surfaces should be clean and free from mortar, dust, grease, rust and other substances
that may be presented on areas to be painted. Surface defects such cracks and holes must be filled with
putty and sandpapered before final coat of paint.
