GOOD CONDUCT TIME ALLOWANCE

Agree or Disagree?

GOOD LAW? The Good Conduct Time Allowance (GCTA) Law is the center of a controversy
now. The debate now focuses on whether or not people convicted of heinous crimes should
benefit such thing. I have been thinking this far and outside the box of its own thoughts, what can
I get if i would agree to this amended articles and penal codes and what can I get if I would
disagree to it. We are all equal as they say but for me, we are all priveleged as who we are and as
what we do.

Regarding with this bursting aggregation proposed by congress we can all agree or disagree. The
congress implemented alot of articles to secure disciplinary actions for us to follow and abide
laws implemented by the highest commission and for the people of the philippines to feel safe as
well as feel protected, as per GCTA proposed I would say "I agree" to implement this new
article, this has no half of any other issue about corruptions and killings happened to our society
or nation nowadays, why not give this little thing to those prisons who have gone in
imprisonment for how many years? This is just a little reward for all of them who behaved inside
the prisonment as years pass by and they grow older.In fact, there is still alot of basis on how the
prisons can avail this especial treatment or especial amendment. The prisons lived for how many
years behind bars, even those innocents who were just framed up on a sin they haven't committed
was also behind those stained bars, let us also count those prisons who grew older and have been
gone for death behind those bars. Despite of the crimes they have indebted, they are still humans.
I am not telling that I am on their side but to think that they are still part of the universe created
by God.

The GCTA is just a compensation for prison's good behavior. Despite of all other articles known
by the people of the Philippines, there is still a moral oath to this implementation for all prisons
behavioral renumeration. The hearing upon this article was still remain unheared for a moment
and we all know that the GCTA law allows for a reduction of sentences of PDLs, depending on
how well they abide by rules and regulations inside “any penal institution, rehabilitation, or
detention center or any other local jail.”
The aftermath of this article/law will be soon the hottest issue forthe society and the people of
the philippines. People just need to open there eyes and open their mind for whatever law might
be implemented and raise by the government. Let us be observant if this is favorable for all or
can create another knot.
