time (hereditary) by a group of people in a particular environment or region
where they live.

B. The Goods and The bads Effect of Globalization

The current globalization which is affecting the whole world has an impact on
the socio-cultural field of a nation. In the beginning, globalization was only
felt in big cities in Indonesia. But with the advances in technology,
communication, information, and transportation globalization has also spread
throughout the country. The flow of globalization, which is very widespread
and rapid, has positive and negative impacts are as follows.
1. Positive Impact
a. increase work ethic, like to work hard, be disciplined, have a spirit of
independence, rational, sportsmanship, and so on.

2. Negative Impact
a. It is easier for Western values to enter Indonesia through the internet,
television and print media, which are widely imitated by the public.
b. The fading of the spirit of mutual cooperation, solidarity, caring and
social solidarity so that in certain circumstances/emergencies, such as
sickness, accidents, or calamities are only handled by a handful of

i. The emergence of extravagant and extravagant lifestyles because a
person's status in society is measured by his wealth.
j. Easily influenced by things that are not in accordance with the habits
or culture of a country.
C. The Effect Of Globalization On Local Wisdom
A reality that has been enjoyed by humans in the era of globalization is
prosperity, convenience, and comfort. However, an era that is easy and
comfortable creates positive influences as well as negative things that will be
threatening and difficult to avoid. Globalization has affected all aspects of
life, for example, the economic system, culture, and the human environment.
The era of globalization in this case technology and information mining
contributes greatly to the growth of the world economy, even technology is
also an indicator of a country's progress. Economic development will become
faster if it is supported by technological advances. Technology is a step
further from the role, capital, and services for economic development. The
more sophisticated technology means the higher the efficiency of a country's
economic growth.
However, technological advances not only have positive impacts on the
economic system, but negative impacts also occur simultaneously. This can
also lead to a waste of natural resources, increase crime and the emergence of
various problems due to the increasingly prosperous and prosperous economy
of a country, while in other regions or countries.
In addition to the impact on the economy, globalization also has an impact on
the social culture of the community (local wisdom). Globalization has led to a
shift or change in the system or the rules that grow and develop in society.
The development of technology has a very large contribution in leading our
teenagers towards moral decadence. The mental and moral damage to our
youth is caused by a capitalist, materialistic and individualistic lifestyle. In
addition, the proliferation of internet sites that present vulgar images that can
be freely accessed further adds to the line of damage to adolescents.
The following impacts of globalization on local wisdom:
1. Human freshness and replacement;
2. Freedom of restraint;
3. Squeezed personality;
4. Human objectivity;
5. The mentality of technology;
6. Technology crisis and
7. Ethical and moral values are abandoned (shifted).

D. A Way To Minimize The Adverse Effect Of Globalization On Local Wisdom

1. Rehumanization
Restoring human dignity in the era of globalization should be adjusted to
the adaptability of the population concerned. The development of
religious values, ethics, law, and policies is slower when compared to the
development of information and technology. Therefore, the problem
must be handled immediately. This means that humans must be seen as a
whole both physically and mentally so that development must always
lead to the realization of an increase in human well-being between the
outward and the outward. If this is not taken into account, the rate of
destruction of human civilization cannot be balanced by the rate of
rehumanization because all parties must take part and contribute
positively.
2. Ability to Choose
With the increasing number of choices in the globalization era, the
consequence that arises is the difficulty in choosing. Education is
generally directed at the way of production not on the way of
consumption. This causes the values of local wisdom to erode and have
an effect on the decline between what is possible and what happens, even
what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad is very
difficult to distinguish.
Everything that is technical might be done, not contested and filtered
based on human values. This means that supported by moral aspects of
religion, social, and related aspects should determine what might be
researched and developed then not done if it is not in accordance with
applicable local wisdom.
3. Revitalization
The need for positive efforts to prevent sustainable biocultural
distortions. The disposal will lead to a new culture in the future so that
thorough preparations are prepared. Revitalization efforts will be greatly
influenced both positively and negatively by domestic and foreign
factors.
