Acknowledgement Letter

The internship opportunity I had with City Social Welfare and Development Office 3rd floor ,
City hall Building was a great chance for learning and professional development. Therefore, I
consider myself as a very lucky individual as I was provided with an opportunity to be a part of
it. I am also grateful for having a chance to meet so many wonderful people and professionals
who led me though this internship period.

Bearing in mind previous I am using this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and special
thanks to Mam Rowena Gugulan, RSW who in spite of being extraordinarily busy with her/his
duties, took time out to hear, guide and keep me on the correct path and allowing me to carry out
my project at their esteemed organization and extending during the training.

I express my deepest thanks in all the employees for taking part in useful decision & giving
necessary advices and guidance and arranged all facilities to make life easier. I choose this
moment to acknowledge his/her contribution gratefully.

It is my radiant sentiment to place on record my best regards, deepest sense of gratitude to Mam
Imelda Baltar, Administrative Aide, Annalyn Boltron, Civil Security Unit, Annaliza Martinez,
Civil Securty Unit for their careful and precious guidance which were extremely valuable for my
study both theoretically and practically.

I perceive as this opportunity as a big milestone in my career development. I will strive to use
gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue to work on their
improvement, in order to attain desired career objectives.

Introduction to Internship

An internship is on-the-job training for many professional jobs, similar to an apprenticeship,


more often taken up by college and university students during his undergraduate or master
degree in their free time to supplement their formal education and expose them to the world of
work. Internships offer various occasion to interns during internship programs to expand
familiarity in their choose area of work , to find out what they have an importance in an exacting
in specific line of business, develop professional network links, build interpersonal skill or get
some credit points if it’s a “sandwich course” they are in.

Employers too benefit from an internship arrangement as it gives access to interns with some
skills to execute relevant tasks for the employer. Many interns end up with permanent service
with the same organisation in which they are interned. Their worth to the organisation may be
greater than before by the fact that they require modest or less training.

Core Values of the Organization Being Observed:

The following are the organizational values, knowledge and ability that I have
taken and developed during our OJT to become Productive Individuals.
I. Commitment
We will be responsible in the performance of our assigned tasks as we
dedicate ourselves to the vision and mission of the Department and also to the
goals of our school to have this training.
II.Integrity
We are committed to uphold ourselves to the principles of honesty and
transparency in all our actions. Furthermore, we should not be easily influence
by others and to take unnecessary actions that will let us in breaking us
integrity.
III. Interpersonal Relationship
In order to have better communication with the employees/workers,
they are always open to us whenever we have questions or we need some
help. And because of regular communication with the employees, officials and
co-trainees through daily encounter is one of the nice practices in order to
develop not only our skills but in improving our relationship with them and to
others.
IV.Teamwork
Teamwork is really important in any organizations existing. We are
committed to work as one family to achieve our common goal in the spirit of
cooperation, mutual respect and trust; thus, teamwork must always be
present.
V. Confidentiality
All financial and non financial date are confidential in nature. So we
should not disclose it with third parties.
VI.Professional Behaviour
We are in the actual workplace, so we are practicing the world of
professionalism that’s why we must act as professionals and we should
maintain our behaviour in and outside the establishment.
VII. Enthusiasm
On my training session, I have given more importance on it. At first, I thought
that it’s not easy to take OJT because there are lots of tasks and activities to
be assigned and performed. But in enthusiastic way, “Even if you are tired,
don;t stop on your work, stop when you’re done”, and that’s really true to
become Productive.
VIII. Politeness
We should respect our employee/ co-workers all the time. Always greet the
clients, employees, officials, and co-trainees or smile at them at chances.
IX. Punctuality
To be a productive person you need to be punctual. There should be no space
of being late as the saying goes by that “Time is gold”. Every seconds of our
life counts and is really important

It is with deep appreciation that I am writing to thank you for the internship opportunity you
provided me over 4 months. I am especially grateful for the personal time and attention you
dedicated to my personal and professional growth. Your guidance helped me achieve the highest
standards in my work, but it was your genuine interest in my academic achievements that I will
remember for the rest of my life.

Over the course of the On-the- Job training, I learned that my opinion matters and that I have
what it takes to make a positive contribution to the team. The employees in this department were
especially helpful and because of them, I have grown and developed into a confident individual..

You, and the entire department, impressed me with your willingness to help another achieve
success. From day one, I felt like a valued member of the team. I fully expect our paths to cross
again in the future. Until then, I will miss your counsel greatly.
