Table 1 above presents the distribution of the participants as to selected variables such as

age, gender, educational attainment and case admission.

The participants of this study were predominantly younger whose ages range from 18 to

49 years old. It should be noted also that majority were female because they constitute 61.5% of

the total participants. 53.5% percent of the participants were college level or graduate while

12% of them were elementary level or graduate. 66.5% of the participants were covered under

medical case and only 33.5% were on medical case.

Table 6 above shows the level of satisfaction as to the Hospital Brand image on the areas

of physical environment, service level, and quality relationships.

As to the image of Hospital Brand as a whole, the in-patients were very satisfied as

for excellence.

satisfaction on the three areas of the image of the hospital namely: physical environment, service

level and quality relationships. Certainly, there is no gender differentials in the satisfaction of the

in –patients regarding this matter.

Table 11.Significant Differences on the Level of Satisfaction as to the Hospital Brand Image
Between Medical and Surgical Patients

Variables Group Descriptive t-value df p-value

Physical Environment Medical M = 3.89, SD = .536 -.712 398 .477
Surgical M = 3.93, SD = .519

Service Level Medical M = 3.77, SD = .572 -1.229 398 .220

Surgical M = 3.85, SD = 577

Quality Relationships Medical M = 4.17, SD = .573 - .562 398 .575

Surgical M = 4.20, SD = .578
Note. * p < .05

Using Independent Sample t- test, the significant differences on the level of satisfaction

of the in-patients when grouped according to case admission are presented in Table 9 above.

On the area of physical environment, p-value (.477) reported at far right of the table

shows that the difference between medical and surgical groups is not statistically significant at
.05 level. This result indicates that , at .05 level, level of satisfaction does not vary significantly

by admission cases.
