1. Disciplined mind - gaining expertise in our field
2. Synthesized mind - deciding what is important and worth paying attention to
3. Creating mind - thinks about new ideas and practices to innovate take chances and discover
4. Respectful mind - open minded and builds relationships
Do you think it’s more difficult for businesspeople to adhere to an ethical mind than it is for other
professionals?
Yes due to lack of framework and the only requirement is to make money and run afoul of the law.
Real test
When the going gets tough, you need to ask yourself if you are not fooling yourself
In organizations -
First, they need a trusted adviser within the organization. Second, they need the counsel of someone
completely outside the organization, preferably an old friend who is a peer. Third, they need a
genuinely independent board
Monitoring peers-
1. Need to believe that this is right for the organization
2. You should not wait for wrong behaviour and rather should tackle at the first warning signs
