Day 1 Session- Dr. Perlita M. Ignacio presented the rationale of the 2-day activity/ workshop followed by her first topic about the EsP Critical Content survey. After Dr. Ignacio’s
presentation, the Head Teacher from Pasig City Science High School, Leilani Lucero reported their output in a seminar/ workshop she attended in Davao City regarding the EsP
critical content Survey result. The report of Ms. Lucero opened the workshop of each grade wherein head teachers/ coordinators/ teachers were grouped according to grade level
they handle and they talked about the consolidated result of the critical content survey in the Division of Pasig City. Another workshop led by Dr. Ignacio was conducted, this time,
to talk about the project LAMP as the new curriculum guide and its difference with the previously used curriculum guide year 2016. The participants were again group according to
their grade level. They discussed about project LAMP and CG 2016 while afternoon snack was distributed to all participants which signalled a working break since everybody was
so engrossed with each group discussion.
Day 2 Session- Dr. Perlita M. Igancio talked about and gave the instruction for the workshop on sample EsP Lesson Plan, DLL and powerpoint presentation. Included also for the
group discussion are the consolidated Least Mastered Skills for the First Grading Periodic Test Result in EsP. The whole morning was dedicated in re-visiting the old and new
curriculum guide, consolidating of the Least Mastered Skills (LMS) and preparing sample Daily Lesson Log (DLL)/ Daily Lesson Plan (DLP) and PowerPoint presentations in teaching
EsP. After the sumptuous lunch was served, the afternoon session was devoted to reporting, analyzing and critiquing of each grade level’s output. One representative from each
grade level started the reporting of their consolidated Least Mastered Skills.
It was indeed a fruitful endeavor for the EsP Department. All participants were grateful for the opportunity and chance to be part of the workshop in Revisiting EsP Content
for Elementary and Secondary schools. The speakers, facilitators, Executive and Technical Working committees, venue, program flow and matrix, foods, sound system and time
allotment for each activity were all commendable.
