Introduction
Processes are the building block of a business. Process Analytics course specifically
handles the qualitative, quantitative process analysis, and process mining. This course
introduces how we capture business processes, model them, analyze them, optimize/re-
engineer them and utilize them. Process Analytics is a sub-field in Business Process
Management - a holistic managerial discipline which emphasizes processes as key
organizational assets. Business Process Management not only supports radical business
transformations, but lays stress on continuous and holistic improvement. It is one of the
core success drivers behind digital transformations stories worldwide, which will be
discussed in detail in this course.
Business Process Management and Process Analytics have been deemed among the key
competencies for future managers, process owners, business analysts, industrial engineers
or IT specialists. The course will liberally use case studies, hands-on sessions, class
exercises, role plays, and interaction with industry experts as its toolset to deliver the
intended content.

Tools used in the course – Bizagi Modeler, DISCO Process Miner

Course Objectives
1) To introduce students to the field of Business Process Management
2) To familiarize students with the tools – Bizagi and DISCO - and languages used
in the field of Business Process Management
3) To teach them how to execute, analyze, and optimize the processes with focus on
Business Process Redesign (BPR).
4) To expose them to varied case studies about process improvement and digital
transformations as part of Business Process Redesign

Pedagogy
The pedagogy would be a mix of Lecture, Discussion, Case Analysis, Assignments, and
Project Work.
