young age, lots of innovation. Today, generation millennial or generation Y will show off.

According
to Kominfo (2016), millennial generation which will succeed in bringing Indonesia to enter
digitalization and the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The state has an obligation to prepare
millennial generations to become the workforce competitive and productive throughout the
Industry 4.0 era.

The term millennial generation is indeed familiar. The term comes from millennials created by two
American historians and writers, William Strauss and Neil Howe. According to the Ministry of
Communication and Information (2016), the millennial generation or generation Y is also familiarly
called generation me or echo boomers. Literally there are no specific demographics determine this
one generation group. However, experts classified it based on the year of beginning and end.
Classification of generation Y is formed for those born in 1980-1990.

Until now (in 2019), the prediction has been proven. In 2017. Internet users according to the
Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) soared up to 143 million users, more than
50 percent of the total population of Indonesia, which is around 262 million soul. These users not
only use the internet as supporting information, but has become a source of information and life
habits. On average, millennials can spend more than 3 hours a day exploring new media, especially
watching videos online. This fact proves, the behavior of the millennial generation already can't be
released from watching videos online.

The industry concept 4.0 is in line with digital technology. According to Soesatyo (2018), in
industrial and production context, industry 4.0 is understood as factory computerization, or
automation and data reconciliation to realize smart factories. Indonesia already
stepped up the era of Industry 4.0, which among others was marked by all digitalization and
automation. Again, the generation of people who are 'headed' ready to face this era is a generation
millennial.

Adaptation of the industrial era 4.0 has been felt by all generations. For example, e-banking and
the rapid development of payment systems that lead to a cashless society or society with electronic
money such as the emergence of GO-Pay, OVO, T-Cash, Funds, and electronic money
bank. The media industry must also adapt to the digital realm. The media that was originally only
printed such as newspapers and magazines and electronics (television and radio) must switch to the
website platform and social media. For example, Kompas, whose news in the newspaper had to be
uploaded on the website so readers can access it at any time without having to buy a newspaper
because the habit of buying newspapers has dropped dramatically, especially buyers of millennial
generation down.

Reporting from Kominfo (2016), The Nielsen Global Survey of E-commerce too
conducted a study of shifting the shopping behavior of millennial generations of users
Internet. Research is conducted based on internet penetration in several countries. The study
describing the behavior of this generation of familiar internet choosing online pathways to research
and buy a variety of products or services to meet their daily needs. Nielsen noted, penetration
growth of mobile devices in Indonesia's big cities reached 88 percent.

Not all millennial generations are aware of the logical consequences or effects of this changes made
by digital technology. Literacy of digital media still needs to be done carried out by all parties.
Sometimes, our digital devices are only used for entertainment, not to help our work or activities in
life. Social media also just becomes our outlet when sad or angry without thinking about words and
content uploaded first.

Disseminating information easily and not carefully becomes a bad habit millennials. This is evidenced
by insight report data issued by Norton Cyber Security in November 2016. Millennials are
surprisingly showing a slacking of online security habits. Data said, 20 percent of the millennial
generation happily sharing passwords that have the potential to sacrifice online security. Then most
Indonesian consumers or around 90 percent use public WiFi connections. However, only 51 percent
of them knew how to secure the network that is. Only 36 percent of respondents connect mobile
devices with Wi-Fi network by using VPN regularly.

However, we are not motivated to take preventative steps. Because of this generation like to learn
many things, the negative side automatically appears, which tends to be forgetful. We tend to make
easy and simple passwords such as date of birth, name call, or something you like. According to
previous Norton research (2016), only 22 percent that protects the device. Therefore, it is necessary
to be aware of the importance of online security.

Potential and readiness of millennial generation in entering digitalization and industry 4.0 era must
be maximized. Because, according to Soesatyo (2018), in its function as a worker, Millennials are
required to increase capacity. Not enough just to mastery of technology, but must be equipped with
mastery of a number of foreign languages so that they can communicative at the global level.
Increasing the capacity of millennial workers can be realized through training, courses and
certification. Industry and educational institutions must also care about the issue of increasing the
capacity of workers in this Industrial 4.0 era.
