By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:-
OBJECTIVE i) In groups, pupils will do a role play for 5 minutes in front of the classroom based on the picture given.
ii) List down at least 3 out of 5 ways to save the endangered species on a piece of A4 paper
SET INDUCTION
1)Teacher plays a video clip on endangered animals.
2) Teacher relates the video to the topic.
PRE LESSON
1)Teacher plays an audio clip on the poem ‘Help Them’ with the definition of low frequency words.
2) Teacher explains the reasons on why the animals are being endangered.
POST LESSON
1.Teacher divide pupils into 3 groups of 3.
2.Each group is given an envelope containing a picture.
3.Pupils are asked to prepare for a role play based on the picture given.
4.Teacher gives 10 minutes for each group for their role play preparation.
ACTIVITIES 5.In groups, pupil perform their role play.

LESSON DEVELOPMENT
Task 1
1)Pupils in groups discuss and write down five ways to save the endangered animals on a piece of A4 paper.

2) A representative from each group pastes their answers around the classrooms.
3)The pupils in each group have a gallery walk to read each other’s answers.

CLOSURE
1)Teacher reads 3 ‘true or false’ statements orally to pupils.
2) Pupils show ‘thumbs-up’ gesture if the statement is true while ‘thumbs-down’ gesture if the statement is false.
3)Teacher advises pupils to be kind to the animals and help them to live.
