Importanţa programului
La nivel naţional au fost identificate necesităţile reale ale societăţii pentru formarea viitorilor
profesionişti la specialitatea Traducere şi interpretare: orientarea Republicii Moldova către Uniunea
Europeană, colaborările internaţionale la nivel guvernamental şi non-guvernamental, participarea la
proiecte internaţionale, promovarea plurilingvismului, plasarea în Republica Moldova a întreprinderilor
cu capital străin sau mixt etc.

Scopul formării specialistului

Scopul general al instruirii în acest domeniu îl constituie formarea specialiştilor capabili să comunice
în cel puţin două limbi străine într-un cadru larg de situaţii profesionale şi culturale, prin utilizarea
resurselor lingvistice specifice în vorbire şi scriere. Formarea specialiştilor la specialitatea Traducere şi
interpretare prevede formarea abilităţilor de aplicare adecvată a tehnicilor de traducere şi mediere.
Realizarea acestui obiectiv se obţine prin dezvoltarea competenţelor de selectare, de analiză şi de
utilizare a codurilor lingvistice şi literare. Programul de studii este conceput pentru a dezvolta nivelul de
competenţă B2/C1 la ciclul licenţă (Conform „Cadrului European Comun de Referinţă pentru Limbi”).

Finalitatea programului
Programul prevede formarea specialiştilor în ştiinţe umanistice capabili să activeze în societatea
contemporană, marcată de o diversitate linguală şi culturală şi orientată spre valorile general umane care
sunt promovate pe plan european şi internaţional: traducători, lingvişti, filologi, mediatori interculturali,
colaboratori ştiinţifici, documentarişti, lexicografi, dictori de emisiuni mass-media în limbi străine,
corectori, tehnoredactori.

Condiţiile de admitere
Sunt admişi la studii de licenţă deţinătorii diplomelor de BAC, diplomelor de colegiu, diplomelor
de studii superioare, diplomelor de licenţă.

Concepţia formării specialistului

În cadrul ştiinţelor umanistice, asigurarea studierii limbilor străine este determinată de condiţiile
reale de evoluţie a societăţii contemporane, dată fiind importanţa comunicării intersociale şi
interpersonale într-o lume marcată de mondializare şi de globalizare. Aprofundarea cunoştinţelor în
domeniul limbilor străine este esenţială pentru încadrarea cu succes în relaţiile sociale, economice şi
culturale, inclusiv academice, în care s-a angajat Republica Moldova. Limbile străine lărgesc accesul la
valorile materiale şi spirituale ale diferitor comunităţi lingvo-culturale şi fundamentează, astfel,
dezvoltarea armonioasă a personalităţii intelectuale şi morale în ansamblu. La conceperea şi structurarea
programului de studii s-a ţinut cont de propunerile experţilor locali şi internaţionali în domeniu, de
documentele internaţionale care reglementează statutul limbilor şi învăţarea lor, de opiniile şi de
aşteptările viitorilor angajatori. Aceste condiţii au permis orientarea formării specialiştilor de limbi
străine aplicate spre necesităţile reale ale pieţei muncii din ţara noastră şi dincolo de hotarele ei.
Concepţia interdisciplinară pusă la baza formării specialiştilor de limbi străine, care alternează
disciplinele de sinteză cu cele de aprofundare, stimulează explorarea şi consolidarea unor aspecte
concrete ale domeniilor lingvistic, literar, traductologic, terminologic, civilizaţional, în funcţie de
obiectul şi metodologia specifica a disciplinelor implicate în fiecare direcţie. În acelaşi timp, concepţia
are un caracter deschis şi dinamic, care permite modificări şi ajustări motivate, pe de o parte, de evoluţia
viziunilor asupra funcţionării limbilor în societatea contemporană şi, pe de altă parte, de dezvoltarea
ştiinţei lingvistice, literare şi traductologice.

Argumentarea gradului de solicitare a specialităţii pe piaţa muncii

Specialiştii formaţi la specialitatea Traducere şi interpretare sunt solicitaţi pe piaţa muncii de
instituţiile guvernamentale şi non guvernamentale, de ambasade, de asociaţii şi întreprinderi cu capital
mixt/străin sau care colaborează cu parteneri din străinătate, de birourile de traduceri, mass-media, etc.
 EXPLANATORY NOTE
The real needs of society for training future professionals in the specialty of Translation and
Interpetation have been identified nationally: Moldova’s orientation towards the European Union,
international collaborations at governmental and non-governmental levels, participation in
international projects, promotion of multilingualism, placement of enterprises with foreign or mixed
capital in the Republic of Moldova, etc.

Specialist training purposes

The overall goal of training in this field is training specialists able to communicate in at least
two languages in a broad framework of professional and cultural situations, using specific language
resources in speech and writing. Specialist training in the specialty of Translation and Interpetation
provides the proper application of techniques of translation and mediation. This goal is achieved
through developing the competences of selection, analysis and use of linguistic and literary codes. The
education program is designed to develop the proficiency level B2 / C1, the Licentiate cycle (Under
"Common European Framework of Reference for Languages").

The finalities of the program

The program provides specialist training in Humanities able to find work in the contemporary
society, marked by a linguistic and cultural diversity and oriented towards the general human values
that are promoted at European and international level: translators, linguists, philologists, intercultural
mediators, scientific collaborators, documentarists, lexicographers, show presenters in mass media
broadcasts using foreign languages, proofreaders, designers.

Admission requirements
The holders of the Baccalaureate diplomas, college diplomas, Licentiate diplomas of higher
education, diplomas of higher education are admitted.

Specialist training concept

In the Humanities, language learning provision is determined by the actual conditions of
developing the contemporary society, given the importance of interpersonal and inter-social
communication in a world marked by globalization. Increasing knowledge of foreign languages is
essential for Moldova’s successful employment in social, economic, cultural, academic relations. The
foreign languages broaden the access to material and spiritual values of different linguistic and cultural
communities and strengthen the harmonious development of the intellectual and moral personality as a
whole. The proposals of local and international experts in the field, the international documents
regulating the status of languages and their learning, opinions and expectations of future employers
were taken into account while designing and structuring the study program. These conditions allowed
to orient the training of applied language specialists to the real needs of the labor market in our country
and beyond its borders.
The interdisciplinary concept serving as a basis for training foreign language specialists
alternates the synthesis disciplines with the basic ones and stimulates the exploration and consolidation
of some specific aspects of the linguistic, literary, translation, terminology, civilizational fields,
depending on the scope and specific methodology of the disciplines involved in each direction.
Meanwhile, the outlook is tentative and dynamic, allowing changes and motivated adjustments, on the
one hand, future visions on language functioning in the contemporary society and the development of

Rationale of the burden of specialty on the labor market

Specialists trained in the specialty of Translation and Interpetation are required on the labor
market by the non-government and government institutions, embassies, associations and enterprises
with mixed / foreign capital or collaborating with partners from abroad, translation agencies, the mass
media, etc.
Competenţe profesionale:
1. Decodarea mesajului în limba sursă la nivel general şi specializat;
2. Traducerea şi interpretarea textelor în limba sursă conform normelor şi condiţiilor cerute de angajator;
3. Utilizarea tehnologiilor informaţionale destinate operaţiunilor de traducere şi interpretare;
4. Utilizarea resurselor lexicografice, terminologice şi documentare pertinente;
5. Elaborarea strategiilor şi procedeelor de traducere în funcţie de obiectul, tipul, contextul şi destinatarul
traducerii/interpretării;
6. Revizuirea, redactarea şi editarea traducerilor;
7. Producerea documentelor cu conţinut general şi specializat în limba sursă şi limba ţintă;
8. Respectarea codului deontologic şi a legislaţiei în vigoare în domeniul traducerii şi interpretării.
Professional competences:
1. Decoding the message in the source language at general and specialized levels;
2. Translating and interpreting texts in the source language according to the rules and terms required by the
employer;
3. Using information technologies for translation and interpretation;
4. Using relevant lexicographic, terminological and documentation resources;
5. Developing translation strategies and procedures according to the subject, the type, the context and the recipient of
the translation / interpretation;
6. Reviewing, editing and printing translations;
7. Generating documents with general and specialized content in the source language and the target language;
8. Complying with the code of ethics and current legislation in the field of translation and interpretation.
