Task #1: Learn.

Learn all the work done in your textbooks Oxford Progressive English and note books. This is
the best time to overcome your weaknesses.

Task # 2: Spelling Bee Words Well:

Learn these words by heart and find meanings of the following.
continue, adventure, gracious, drought, disaster, chemical, surgery, knowledge, pursue, serious,
orchestra, believe, legible, establish, cooperate, obedience, necessary, identical, coincidence,

Task # 3: Reading of the Novel:

Read the novel, “Oliver Twist” thoroughly.
Write down the character sketch of Oliver, Mr. Bumble, Nancy and Fagin.
Write down the summary of the story.

Task #4: Reading of the Poems:

Read all the poems given in your Oxford Progressive English.
Write down at least your 2 favorite poems from the text book.
Explain their central idea too.

Task#5: Watch A Movie.

Watch any movie you like but with subtitles. This task will help you to have a good
command on your language.
My recommended movie is “inside out”. This movie is about emotions. Write few lines about
your favorite character of the movie.

Task # 6: projects.

Make a scrap book and write at least 5 quotation about family, mother, father, brother,
sister, son, daughter, friendship, teachers.
Make a tiny diary and paste your best time of vacation pictures and write few lines about
that moment.

Task # 7: Creative Writing:
It will enhance your imagination, framing, expression and of course writing skills. It will
develop you self containment.
Write down story of the given pictures and give title as well.
Story # 1:

The Shadow in the Deep Blue Sea

It started off as a wonderful trip with my family. We were

sailing across the Pacific Ocean from Alaska to Australia.
We were in the middle of the ocean and I was looking
down into the deep blue depths when I saw a dark shadow
gliding under the boat . . .

Story #4: Complete The Story.

Fairies in Danger
Imagine you are a fairy living in a beautiful forest.
One day you are walking near the edge of the forest
and you hear a loud rumbling noise so you head
towards the noise to investigate. You see a strange
yellow machine with many wheels and a large iron
shovel that can dig up the earth and knock down trees.
You overhear some humans talking. They say they are going to clear the forest
with this machine and build a shopping mall. You rush back to the fairy village to
warn the other fairies . . .
