COURSE OBJECTIVE
Acquire basic knowledge and skills leading to specialization in human resource management
COURSE EVALUATION
The course will be assessed through two continuous assessment tests (CATs), assignments and
group work that will account for 30% of the total marks and final exam constituting 70%. Mode
of delivery will be through lecture and presentations.

Course description: The role of human resources management in the organization; history
and development of human resource management; Personnel Management viz human resource
management; introduction to activities of human resource management; human resources
management as a discipline, function and profession
